Do you guys know if I rent a game for free with the above promo and never pick it up, 1) will I be charged on the 2nd day, and 2) will I earn points? TIA

@sarahb I think since the game is still in the box you would not get charged for another day. I don’t know about points.

@sarahb If you never picked it up, no charge for 2nd day - just whatever you paid (or didn’t pay) for the first day.
As to the points, it appears in the new system that you only get credit for actual paid rentals, so no points for a freebie, picked up or not.
If anyone has seen to the contrary, please say so, but I had a couple of free rentals the other day, and they generated squat in points, and didn’t count toward the “X more rentals to reach next level” either. Not sure about rentals that are partially paid - $1.25 off or less…

Those look like the free codes you get or can use when you first create a new redbox account, one time use per account, and most of us have already used them years ago, or they might only work at the Kiosk and not in the app or on the website for reservations.

@openupyoureyes They could be old but are NOT one time use as they had been used before I used.

@mrsguin I didn’t say one time use, I said one time use PER ACCOUNT which they are, so you can’t use them again if you have used them before. It’s unfortunate you didn’t read my post more closely before posting your reply, and what happened to “Be kind to each other”?

It requires a paid transaction but I suspect using a $1.25 off code and paying $0.25 for the rental will still earn 500 points as log as you login and use the code at the box.
I have not verified this.
