Kaspersky - Free version
Phat200 last edited by
The free version includes “only antivirus protection for files, emails, and the web, along with table-stakes features like automatic updates and a quarantine for flagged files…Total Security suite also includes parental controls, online payment protection, and VPN access, which the free version lacks…” [from https://www.pcworld.com/article/3211055/security/kaspersky-announces-free-antivirus-program.html]
If I am using VPN, does that mean the free version would not work for me – meaning I would not be able to go to any web sites, retrieve/send emails, etc.??

I wouldn’t use Kaspersky at all. Unless you want FSB to know what’s on your PC>

We used to get lots of free after rebate Kaspersky from Staples.
They pulled it from their shelves.

@phat200 I’m pretty sure that means that the free version doesn’t include a VPN client, unlike the paid version. There should be no reason that it won’t work if you’re using VPN.
