Have Farmers Insurance for Auto? get roadside assistance program for $13 a year per car (YMMV)

Farmers Insurance offer their policy holders Roadside Assistance for insured vehicles. My cost is $13 per car. not sure if this fee varies by state, so YMMV.
NOTE: the program covers the vehicle, not the driver, so not good with rental cars or riding as passenger in a friend’s car.
However, one simply call to the same 800# on your Insurance ID card gets you help: Changing flat tire, out of gas, etc.
If you need a tow they reimburse you up to $150 for a tow service.
while there’s not all the perks you’d get with AAA, a very affordable program if you want to have peace of mind if you break down. Call your insurance agent, just added to your policy premium if you want it.
