If it expired back on 11/2, it makes sense that it would not return a valid response, though I got the same message, and it sounds incorrect - even for a bad, previously entered or no long valid code. @yoregano I can’t even find any mags that are interesting (or that I have time for - talking to you Car & Driver). I just use the points for a local grocery chain for freebie coupons on milk and lettuce each month. Probably save $10 or so a month. I expect that it’s just a local chain in SE Michigan - Hollywood Markets. They have free milk, free head of lettuce and $5 off 50 coupons (but frankly, we never spend $50 in one trip there - their prices are higher than the local Kroger and Meijer chains, after all the coupons, discounts, etc.

At the moment, RB is down/offline (at least for me). It’s pretty easy to find the coupons if they’re available to you, though - just in the regular Rewards section (don’t recall the category, though).

@mrvietnam I’d tell you, but I can’t get in there at the moment. Pretty sure it’s under 10K - maybe as low as 5K. Lettuce and Milk every month add up!

If I had to guess, RB won’t be back up 'til sometime Monday. Doesn’t seem like anyone watches the store on evenings or weekends anymore…

@mrsguin The Learn How to Co-Exist With Plastics link is an old one from 2015. The points earning opportunity was not reset recently. If you earned this now, you must not have earned it back-in-the day. That’s why I didn’t post it when it showed up last week.

Also, as a suggestion, how about we don’t use the gigantic graphics (bigger than on FW). All it’s doing is taking up screen space, and if the point of the thread is to share the points, between that graphics and the larger-in-general-font sizes used by this site, all I’ve got on the screen right now is that graphic and this response.

@zennuts Specifically, I use them for free milk and free lettuce, because there’s so little else of interest available, and the store is local. I’ve done magazines a few times, but they intend it to be new subscriptions, which is annoying (but still free). It would be nice if they could improve their selection of stuff people want.

@sarahb If you never picked it up, no charge for 2nd day - just whatever you paid (or didn’t pay) for the first day.

As to the points, it appears in the new system that you only get credit for actual paid rentals, so no points for a freebie, picked up or not.

If anyone has seen to the contrary, please say so, but I had a couple of free rentals the other day, and they generated squat in points, and didn’t count toward the “X more rentals to reach next level” either. Not sure about rentals that are partially paid - $1.25 off or less…
