Thanks, AngryEyebrows. I got a 7" Amazon Fire at least 8 or 9 years ago to listen to audiobooks and read books from Audible and our local library. Upgraded a few years later to an 8" size when I was bedbound and bored with a busted ankle and loaded some one-player games on it. Haven’t bothered with the games in probably 6+ years, mainly just listened to audiobooks and read books, occasionally checked emails. Just too small a screen since I mainly use a 17" HP Pavilion laptop. Bought the 10" Kindle Fire a couple months ago, and the larger screen means I finally enjoy the portability of the 10" screen. However, I was ticked to the max to learn that most games that are not from Amazon can’t be loaded and played on it. I didn’t understand why. Since they’re using a tweeked version of Android, as you said, that explains it. We kinda blew our spare change for the rest of this year on a MineLaps Equinox 600 Metal Detector, so yet another play toy will have to wait until sometime next year. But yes, after experiencing the Amazon Store Only games limitation, my next tablet won’t be an Amazon Fire one.

RE: EXPIRED -Free Pc Game "Aven Colony" (reg. $30) @ Epic Games- Claim by 11/11
Got it yesterday and added it to my laptop. Does Epic Games have any good games that would work on a Kindle Fire (android device)? Seems like most are only for Windows, a few for Windows or Mac.

Claimed the Rise of the Tomb Raider game. I already have an Epic Games account, so it was easy. Thanks, OP.

I’ve got an Amazon Prime account, Looking at the games available free until Nov 1, I saw Tiny Robots Reclaimed, but it says “AVAILABLE ON AMAZON GAMES APP (WINDOWS PC ONLY)”. Does that mean I can claim and play it on my Windows laptop but would not be able to add it to my Kindle Fire tablet? Looks like I had to download and install an Amazon Games App on my laptop. I haven’t gotten games from Amazon in ages, except for recently getting Gems of War, which works on my laptop and on my 2018 8" Kindle Fire tablet but won’t install on my 2021 newest edition 10" Kindle Fire tablet.

RE: Staples Rewards Checks Must Now Be Redeemed In Full At Time of Purchase: No More Balance Checks Issued.
As MISTERCHEAP said, the cost of buying ink cartridges on eBay has gone up. I’d love to be able to get 300 for $50 to $60 as I haven’t found a deal like that in several months. As long as I can still manage to accumulate $80 every 2 months, I can manage to spend $80 at one time to stockpile toner cartridge, printer paper, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. With my toner cartridges running about $87 each, if my investment is the cost of 40 empty cartridges and $10 (two months of the cost of buying ink to qualify to redeem 20 a month), I’m still doing well. I don’t like the change to having to use all of the reward at one time, but I can live with it. Just hope they don’t make any other changes.

RE: EXPIRED - Amazon Prime Gaming August- 8 Pc Games including Battlefield V- Free to Prime Members ($125 value)-Claim by 9/1
Thanks, Midori. I’ll check those out. My preferences are for roleplay, exploring, questing, MMORPG type games. A FRIENDLY social aspect is important if I’m going to play it longterm. The “all war all the time” and vicious PvP games are unappealing.
