Really hard to wade through that list. We buy muli-packs of snack packages to put out along with a cooler of water for the mailpersons and UPS and Fed-Ex drivers. I’m trying to see if those are included in the offer.

RE: Today, the U. S. Postal Service filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission of mailing services price changes to take effect July 14, 2024. The new rates include a 5-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail 68 cents to 73 cents.
It is, and we’ll keep seeing these kinds of increases as long as DeJoy and his buddies are in charge. I bought another 100 forever stamps a couple weeks ago to add to the mostly unused roll I already have, so should be good for birthdays, holidays, letterwriting, and other mailings for the next 2 or 3 years.

RE: A bill that would require retailers to offer a rain check for any advertised digital coupon if the product isn’t available (NJ, needs this in all states)
Kroger will not issue a rain check if an item is on sale with a digital coupon loaded to my card, and the coupon expires before I plan to return to the store. Instead, the customer service desk clerk just informs me that the coupon won’t expire until the end of the week, so I can still come back and buy the product when it’s back in stock before then. It really frosts me, and I just look at the clerk and state emphatically. “I travel 30 miles round trip. I’m not coming back to town this week, and certainly not driving 30 miles for one item.”

I’m recycling my last 20 cartridges this month and checking eBay to purchase a new batch. I’ve forgotten how many points we get now for each recycled cartridge.

RE: Watch: Thieves ransack Walgreens store near San Francisco's Civic Center
I have read reports of these types of criminal groups targeting a store and doing a carefully coordinated theft attack - get in, grab, get out in just a few minutes. They’ve undoubtedly scouted the store and diagrammed the aisles, decided which thieves will hit each aisle, what merchandise to grab first, etc. The callous disregard and the danger to shoppers who are there during the attack is frightening.

RE: Pinecone Research taking new members - surveys for $$
Just signed up using your referral link. My husband was a Pinecone Researcher several years ago and liked it. Not sure why he left, but I think they changed the amount of payment or something, and he decided not to stay. Seems to me I remember they might have paid $5 per survey way back then, but I can’t recall. They are legit. Site registration page says they pay $1 per survey, but you said they pay $3 now, and I believe you. (grin) It is one account per person, and one account per household.

RE: Staples rewards changing in February, 2024-Changes unknown.
It is a total mess. I’m going to our local store and get the friendly manager to help me sort it out.
I used to have two accounts, one personal and one business, each with different usernames and email addresses. I haven’t used the business one in several years.
I just got this email, which is on the personal account I use for Staples which matches my Staples Connect app. It does have a username for login rather than an email.
Our new loyalty program is launching this week, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
But first, we need to let you know that the Rewards number(s) above is associated with another existing Staples.com® account and will be removed, as only one Rewards number will be allowed on each Staples.com® account.
So, once the new program launches, you’ll need to sign-up. It’s easy and FREE to join! Look for more details coming soon.
Staples has messed this up bigtime! -
RE: Staples rewards changing in February, 2024-Changes unknown.
I have enough to turn in on Saturday. Glad I bought my new laptop last month and had Rewards to help with the cost. I’ve had the app on my smartphone for over a year. I hate that more and more stores are blowing off anyone who doesn’t have or doesn’t use a smartphone. Our OfficeMax/OfficeDepot closed at the beginning of October, so Staples is the only office supply/computer/etc. physical store here. And I learned last week that this is the final week for their only certified tech repair person.

RE: Office Depot 1/7-1/13/24: 100% back in Duracell AA or AAA 16 or 24 ct. batteries. Limit 2.
Unfortunately the fine print on the website says “Rewards are not available for returns made by mail”, most likely because they provide a free shipping mailing label. They will accept the cartridge to recycle and pay for the shipping, but not give rewards.
Thanks for the info. Guess I’ll be skipping their FAR batteries now. It’s actually 38.7 miles to the nearest OD. -
RE: Office Depot 1/7-1/13/24: 100% back in Duracell AA or AAA 16 or 24 ct. batteries. Limit 2.
Suggestions for how to do this. Our OD closed in October, next closest is over 30 miles away. I can order online for the OD credit toward an online purchase later, but no local store to turn in cartridges. Is there still a way to submit cartridges by mail? It would cost postage, but the $20 OD credit would be more than the postage. Thanks. Also, ordering the 24 pack of AA size, I need to order another $8.02 for free shipping. Didn’t realize free shipping is now minimum of $45 order!

RE: Microsoft ending support windows 10 could send 240 mln pcs landfills report 2023-12-21/
My 17" 2014 HP Pavilion is still going strong, but it can’t support Win 11. After saving pennies for over a year and watching sales, I finally bought a new 15" HP laptop a few weeks ago and am gradually switching over to it as my main laptop, but I’ll continue to use the 2014 laptop as long as possible as our second laptop and as the one my husband will use since he mainly just gets online occasionally to look stuff up and to participate in a hobby-related Zoom get-together with fellow hobbyists.

RE: Staples rewards changing in February, 2024-Changes unknown.
I know one of the two tech guys at our local Staples. Since he plays Pokemon GO too, high-level and leads our regular weekly Raids, maybe I can persuade him to spill the beans on the new Rewards program.

RE: Staples rewards changing in February, 2024-Changes unknown.
@597404 Please clarify the “points for each $$ spent”. That seems to be if you buy stuff in the store or online. What about being able to recycle up to 20 cartridges a month for $2 each in store credit “rewards” even if you haven’t bought anything that month and are qualified to do so because of buying ink within the required time slot plus buying the Plus membership?

RE: Buy 10 General Mills Participating Items at Participating Store in one transaction, get a $25 cash reward via online rebate
Finally got around to submitting my receipt, a long one. Wish I’d separated the items for this offer and had them rung up separately from the rest of my purchases. Fingers crossed the receipt will be readable and accepted. There’s been such a big response that it will take 2 to 4 weeks for processing, according to the site.

RE: U.S. Postal Service Forever stamp will increase by 2 cents on Jan. 21, 2024. from 66 cents to 68 cents.
Postcards going up by .02 as well. I participate in Postcards to Voters campaigns as much as I can afford, especially the ones that just encourage non-registered persons of voting age to please register and the ones that just encourage voters to exercise their right to vote, so every rise in the postal rates makes it more difficult. So many campaigns are sending text messages because of the cost of postage. Personally I don’t text unless I absolutely have to, and I don’t like receiving campaign texts, no matter how much I may support a person or cause or issue. There’s something about receiving a physical piece of paper with a polite friendly handwritten message that people do still respond to and usually appreciate more than a text message. Your Vote is Your Voice. There’s no “forever” postcard stamps, unfortunately.

RE: Amazon is bringing ads to Prime Video – the ad-free option will cost $2.99 a month extra
I’m already used to blanking out and ignoring ads on many of the media suppliers we use so the ads don’t really cause me to lose focus on the program itself, we budget our spending very carefully, and I’m not going to pay another $3 a month ($36/year) for Amazon Prime. Get something to drink, go to the bathroom, feed the dog, whatever during commercials.

Wow, 18 pages of participating products! Luckily I have a black/white laser printer that can print on both sides, so I’ve printed the list and will go through and highlight the items I generally buy. Glad Kroger and Food Lion are participating, and surprised that Publix is not. Note this is limited to one redemption per household.

RE: Office Depot 100% back in rewards on 16/24 ct packs of AA/AAA Batteries- Duracell Limit 2 total.
They’re ridiculous on the price - $25.69 for a 16-pack! The reason I keep doing it is to be able to turn in 10 cartridges for $20 in rewards as well, and then turn the rewards into paper towels and t-paper and other useful items like storage totes whenever those are on sale and also have the batteries. I snagged 2 more of those great Office Depot® Brand by GreenMade® Professional Storage Tote With Handles/Snap Lid, 27 Gallon, 30-1/10" x 20-1/4" x 14-3/4", Black/Yellow, Item #792989, for $9.99 each during the Prime Day sale. That qualified me to turn in 10 cartridges. Other stores carry similar ones, sometimes at a lower price, but those stores don’t have the rewards deal. The totes are awesome, we must have a dozen or more, and the ones we got 3 years ago that have been outside all year around holding gardening supplies are still just as sturdy and waterproof as the day we got them.

RE: Free a/IBOTTA: Duracell FOB CR2032 2ct pack $7.13 fixed rebate (RA, CVS, Wags, Target, WMT, Alb Chains, etc)
Was getting the $4 off anything coupon by email every week or 10 days for quite a while in my husband’s account and in my account. Then they stopped arriving and started getting 20% off one full-price item or similar offers by email. I was thrilled when both our emails got a $4 off anything coupon expiring 6/20. I used mine on the batteries and my husband’s to get a pair of 75% off slippers, and we each got another email the next morning with a $4 off anything coupon that expires 6/27. Awesomesauce.

RE: Free a/IBOTTA: Duracell FOB CR2032 2ct pack $7.13 fixed rebate (RA, CVS, Wags, Target, WMT, Alb Chains, etc)
The only listed store around me is CVS, so I stopped there a couple hours ago. Cost of the 2-pack of these batteries was a whopping $10.99!!! So the deal was $10.99 minus $4 load-to-card coupon minus 15% off one full-price item ($1.02) minus .25 credit from past purchases for a subtotal of $5.72, add sales tax, net was $6.28 OOP. Scan receipt and receive $7.13 added to my Ibotta account. The difference in cost of these little batteries from store to store is mindboggling.

RE: FETCH Rewards Gripes
Don’t know when Fetch went to 35 scans per week, but I ran into the limit for the first time at least 2 or 3 months ago. I get receipts from friends and family as well as our own purchases, but the only way I could get 35 a day is if I worked at a convenience or dollar store where a lot of people don’t bother to take their receipts. I did not like the change to the amount needed to redeem, but I’ve learned to live with it. smile

RE: Free a/IBOTTA: Duracell FOB CR2032 2ct pack $7.13 fixed rebate (RA, CVS, Wags, Target, WMT, Alb Chains, etc)
I have a $4 off anything cpn for CVS, and I just got a keyfinder set from Amazon that takes CR2032 batteries. If I use the $4 off cpn at CVS to buy a 2-pack, I’ll still get the full $7.13 rebate, right?

RE: CVS to Sat 6/24: Buy Two Cheerios/Lucky Charms, etc in one order pay 99c per box ac/IBOTTA

RE: CVS, Rite Aid, etc /IBOTTA BOGO Special K Blueberry Cereal $4.98 rebate (fixed) on 2
I found it at Walmart, bought 2 at $4.98 each, submitted the receipt, and quickly got the $4.98 credited to my Ibotta account, so cost per box was just $2.49 each plus tax. The drug stores seldom carry the family size cereal boxes and are too expensive anyway, so I was delighted that Walmart purchases qualified.

RE: CVS, Rite Aid, etc /IBOTTA BOGO Special K Blueberry Cereal $4.98 rebate (fixed) on 2
No coupons allowed, must be the larger 16.9 oz size. No BOGO offer at my CVS this week, but select Special K family-size cereals will be on sale for $3.99 the week of 6/18 thru 6/25. Or are you saying that if you can manage to buy two of them for $4.98 each, then the Ibotta offer is the BOGO deal? Ibotta also lists Kroger and Walmart as qualifying stores.

RE: Amazon 17.7inch Black Plant Caddy with Water Container, 5 Wheels $2.64 (ships from China)
Must be back in stock. Just ordered 4 of the ones in the OP’s link for $2.64 each. Reviews are good, especially if you don’t intend to actually put huge heavy pots on them that would cause the tray to bind the water drawer. I’m thinking more about easier ability to move around medium pots with colorful flowers. Thanks, OP. Great find.

StackSocial Microsoft Office 2021 lifetime, code used but not by me
Advice needed. I bought this and expected the code to continue to be good until I decided to use it. I was and am already using a lifetime MS 2016, and bought this because I was thinking about buyig a new computer later. For some reason, this morning I cannot get Word or Excel to come up no matter what I do, and before taking my laptop to the tech guru in town, I thought I might as well upgrade to this 2021. Turns out the code has been used, and not by me. There is no way anyone could have gotten the code from me, and I suspect it may be a hacker just trying random sequential codes. I’ve contacted StackSocial’s support and am waiting to hear from them. In the meantime, I still cannot get Word and Excel to work again despite restarting 3 times. Suggestions?
