Thanks, Midori. I’ll check those out. My preferences are for roleplay, exploring, questing, MMORPG type games. A FRIENDLY social aspect is important if I’m going to play it longterm. The “all war all the time” and vicious PvP games are unappealing.

Thanks. I just got the newest Kindle Fire, the 10" size, and was hoping to be able to load and play a few decent games on it. My older 8" Kindle Fire just did not have a large enough screen. Unfortunately I learned that you can’t download Steam games to the Kindle, and I’m having problems trying to load Gems of War which I got from IndieGala and loaded on my 17" HP Pavilion laptop a few months ago and couldn’t download to the Kindle from IndieGala a few days ago, so had to go to Amazon Games and download it from there but now the one on the Kindle doesn’t recognize my email and pwd. Ugh. I’ll take a look at the games you listed. I read you could do something to be able to load Steam games on Kindle, but it’s more complicated that I want to try and apparently would void the warranty anyway.

Hoping to buy an HD 10, but this review from a purchaser confuses me. I have no idea how to tell if SSID broadcast is enabled, if it’s something on my router, or if it’s something my internet provider does: Quote: Doesn’t matter what channel/frequency, the all new Fire HD 10 will only connect to my WiFi if I have SSID broadcast enabled. My previous fire (HD 8") does not have this problem with the hidden network. The 8 is connected and runs without issue (even during troubleshooting). The 10 being unable to connect to my Wifi network like ALL of my other devices is a surprising problem to immediately run into. It’s 2021 and the device I purchased is supposed to be an upgrade.
The worst part is that I am able to manually add a network. That means that this device is programmed to handle cloaked networks. You know, that normal thing that wireless devices can always do. But as soon as I hide the SSID (after successfully connecting the 10 to the Wifi) the Fire disconnects itself and says Out of Range. End Quote

Got emails about joining, no coupon yet. I did see that you are supposed to select a poster and share to get the coupon. I saw a “share” link on the left side of the page, and there’s a “join” link on the right side. If you joined but didn’t share, try doing that. Hoping to get a coupon as the cheese is sold in several grocery stores here and is delicious, and I see that the ice cream is now also available in some grocery stores here too.

The Oldcastle Planter Wall Blocks are on sale, 2/$5, regularly $2.98 each, and those are an easy solution for building raised beds. Now that we’re older (well, yea, sigh, old), we’re adding more raised beds.

How do I find and download the Redbox Streaming app to my Samsung Smart TV? I just noticed that Redbox now supports Samsung Smart TVs which they previously did not. I’ve searched the apps on my Samsung and can’t find Redbox. I can’t find the information on the Redbox website either. Also, I have a lot of Perks which disappeared because I didn’t use them within the period to do so, couldn’t get the app on my Samsung Smart TV and these days we go into town (25 minutes one way) maybe once every 3 weeks which eliminates using a kiosk. Is there any way I could get the app onto my Samsung Smart TV and then ask them to restore at least some of my perks?

How hard is it for a non-tekkie to run benchmark software? I’m on a 2014 HP 17" Pavilion and am starting to think about purchasing a newer 17" laptop (I like the screen size, and I rarely take it anywhere). But prices have more than doubled since I bought mine, so decision-making is more important than ever.

Thank you. The 100% back in Rewards offers on batteries paid off for us this week. We’re in upper middle TN. Power went out Monday, on for a few hours, off again Tuesday and Wednesday, on again Thursday for about 8 hours, off again until 3:30 today (Sunday). Those who have propane like us or or have wood stoves at least had heat. I have a bunch of flashlights and 3 camping lanterns (the kind you hang at the top of a tent), plus candles. Those AA and AAA batteries from Office Depot got us through, and I gave several packs to neighbors too. You just never know when something you get as a deal will turn out to be worth it’s weight in gold.

Thanks. I have some StarWars backgrounds as well. I’ve learned that the best backgrounds to use should be lighter and should have some uncluttered space in the middle so the background doesn’t overpower your image. Doing a lot of Zoom meetings and online events these days.

I’m having problems getting a decent quantity of empty ink cartridges at a fair price. eBay is like a desert island these days. I did a search last week and couldn’t find any at a decent price. Just looked again and there are a few listing with per-cartridge prices of around .30 to .50 each.
