We do have a preview function (not sure about mobile), but there is a preview window next to the compose window (unless you’ve hidden it).

I just replied to your note about using “@” in another thread. I didn’t realize that worked on this platform but will definitely use it going forward.

I don’t see a preview function in android (I checked both mobile and desktop view). I only see full screen view.

Most FWers appear to be keeping their FW user names (and avatars in many cases). I’m sure that most new people will notice that is so once they start browsing and participating, and then edit their name if they so choose. I see no harm in putting a note on the sign up page to let folks know it’s an option. I personally prefer that everyone keep their FW name and was grateful that I was allowed to do so, but it should be presented as an option instead of a preference at sign up, if at all.

I think that is a question that could probably be most effectively answered by @dangeRuss but the goal is prevent this site from becoming overrun by bots, spam, self-promotion, referrals etc. Having a dedicated thread still allows a (private) means for members to share their referrals.

I totally get that all of us expats want this site to mimic FW as much as possible and as soon as possible so that we can continue where we left off with all of our preferred features and styles in tact. There are a lot of features I’m having withdrawal pangs for too. Fortunately, we’ve already got quite a number of those features on our to do list. We’re not going to try to clone FW, but certainly implement “best practices” and add our own unique styles.

Pinning was easy to address but other issues may not be. Bear with us as we ramp up and gather the plug-ins, codes, skilled techies etc. needed to customize things the way most everyone will enjoy.

Just help us by continuing to report issues, concerns and requests in the support forum, and we’ll do what we can, though some issues may take longer to resolve. Please post each unique issue in a different thread.

• If that’s not the issue, you posted in that thread 18 hours ago so any new threads or existing threads that people replied to since then push that thread down in reverse chronological order if you have your view set to sort by newset.

Sorry for the delayed reply @kateivan. Yes, it’s been on our to-do list from the start and @dangeRuss commented earlier today that he plans to create it soon.

If you look to the right of any poster’s name you can see when that message was posted in minutes, hours, or days ago. if you hover over that with your cursor, you can see that actual date and time it was posted. That is all the mods have access too as well. I agree that the time and date stamp always being visible would be much more helpful so I’ll bring it up to @dangeRuss. Hopefully it is a feature than can be easily toggled to the desired format.

You can just post your requests here in the support forum, that’s what it’s for. That’s better than a PM because other users may be having a similar issue, preference, or insights on their experience that can help us resolve things faster. Then the solution get posted publicly so that anyone who has the same problem in the future can be referred here or can find the answer here themselves.
