Yeah, I cut way back too. I just aim for one $25 GC (for 22.000 SB) per month now. Being charged taxes on non-taxable things like cash back if I go over $600 in redemptions per year is a huge disincentive. Life has been too busy anyway to invest in SB activities that take increasingly longer and longer to complete and pay less and less over time.
A funny thing is I think theyâre hurting for traffic because theyâve been harassing me with near daily emails to start taking surveys again. They banned me from surveys about 4 years ago because I kept forgetting to not take surveys on my birthday. That always resulted in a fraud warning for me because their system hadnât updated yet and I was claiming to be one year older than they thought I was. I either had to lie and say I was younger or miss a few days of survey $$$ because of their incompetence.
Well, I guess I forgot one year too many and they banned me for at least 4 years from taking Peanut Lab and Gold surveys. Plus they applied the ban on my MyPoints account as well even though I hadnât taken any surveys in a little while over there. Nice birthday gift. Now theyâve decided to reinstate me (with a bonus lecture in each email about how to take surveys honestly). Iâm not going to bother taking their surveys anymore because (a) they no longer allow you to update your survey profile, so Iâll just get banned again because my income, zip code, age, etc. have changed and (b) Iâm still salty about the 4 years money they caused me to miss out on. I used to do a lot of surveys and redeem $100 to $150 in SB monthly⊠those days are gone.
