I forgot to try tech first, I have a limit of 20 carts per month, and when I recycled 20, one went toward tech and 19 toward ink. So it appears the system is set up to automatically credit a cart to tech because it is on the tech list, and then the rest to ink.

@my4mainecoons Did they ever add the points for the 15th cart? I also used the reporting feature and never received the credit for my 20th cart.

OT- I see they are trying to save by cutting store hours as well. Now the store doesn’t open until 11AM on Sundays, was 9AM. Used to be 8AM during the week and they pushed that back to 9AM-8PM, not even open 12 hours.

Uggh, I had a rewards certificate I forgot to print, and now that is gone from my rewards. Also a Plus member, and I am at 400 pts per 20 carts per month.
This is a mess. They sent me an email yesterday saying that my rewards number is being used by another account and that I should sign up again. The website showed no activity. Today I checked in the connect app to see if my tech recycling reward was still there. After going through a few changeover screens and clicking around a lot, I finally found my reward.
If I recall, when they forced us to the connect app, I had to sign up again. My guess is that that created a second account.
I don’t recycle ink, but I wonder if you all have a similar situation. Maybe your second account gets the better recycle deal and has your old statuses. Just a thought.
Did you sign up again? I was worried about doing so because it might assign a new rewards number.
I think you may be right about signing into the app and getting a duplicate account. I received the same message. I may have forgotten that I use a different email for my Staples Rewards and used my everyday email for signing up for the app. The odd thing is all my purchase history and recycling receipts show up under my rewards email, but the rewards certificates do not.
I am curious about the age of the account determining the amount of carts you can recycle. I had multiple accounts at one time and still have a rewards card and number that is older than the one I currently use. Doesn’t seem like there is a way to find out if that account is still active without going through support though.

Giant PA 12 Dove Body Wash Free + $13 Moneymaker With Gas Points (assumes a 25 gallon gas fill up)
Giant PA currently (1/13) has Dove body wash on sale for $6.99. There is a $3.00 Giant digital coupon for the purchase of one, but also there is an $8.00 off instantly when you buy 3 that is stacking with 500 Choice Points when you spend $15, and a $3 rebate from Shopmium on the purchase of one Dove body wash.
So if you buy 12 you pay $83.88 but get get $8 X 4 (-$32.00) instantly, $62.50 in gas rewards points ($2.50 X 25 gallons), and $3 Shopmium rebate. -

@dionaea said in Office Depot 1/7-1/13/24: 100% back in Duracell AA or AAA 16 or 24 ct. batteries. Limit 2.:
Suggestions for how to do this. Our OD closed in October, next closest is over 30 miles away. I can order online for the OD credit toward an online purchase later, but no local store to turn in cartridges. Is there still a way to submit cartridges by mail? It would cost postage, but the $20 OD credit would be more than the postage. Thanks. Also, ordering the 24 pack of AA size, I need to order another $8.02 for free shipping. Didn’t realize free shipping is now minimum of $45 order!
Unfortunately the fine print on the website says “Rewards are not available for returns made by mail”, most likely because they provide a free shipping mailing label. They will accept the cartridge to recycle and pay for the shipping, but not give rewards.

My ink spend runs out on 1/11/24. I was thinking about buying more this week for the 50% rewards but now will hold off. I’ll do one more recycling. Fifty cents a cartridge is not worth the trip. I’ll save them for Office Depot for now. I’m pretty sure they will follow suit quickly on lowering the amount for the cartridges.
@briarycliffs you’re in a no risk situation. You can recycle by 1/11 for January. Then on 2/1 you’ll know the details, if by some chance you’ll earn 400 points for buying $50 in ink (can’t imagine getting 50c ea x 10 on $50 in ink), you can buy in Feb/earn for Feb and not miss any month. You timed it well sir.
I’m in the same spot, ink spend runs out 1/7. I sure hope they extend the value or limit of what paid members can recycle since I bought the Plus membership just to recycle 20 carts/month. OD by me closed a couple years ago, so ink recycling was still a value for me through Staples, guess this could be the end of the run.

User CalmChannel1150 over at SD posted this:
Some details I read about Staples’ new reward program (1 recycled cartridge = 50 cents)
Earn 1pt on every $1 spent (excluding gift cards, taxes, LQO)Earn “starting at” 100pt for ink cartridges (still limited per month to something)
Associates actually get earned rewards now at the same rate plus we get 400pts for ink recycling
Points don’t expire as long as you shop at staples within 18 months to stay active
You can earn bonus double points on select categories (tech items, ink and toner, P&M, chairs, etc) and you can pick up to 3 of them
App is going to have other limited time bonus offers that can be activated
Points can be redeemed at register at any whole dollar amount as long as the customer asks. (You have to first enable it on the main screen but go to the add tenders screen to see the available amount and add it)
Points are refunded when returning an item paid partially or in full with points
Points are worth a half penny each so 200pts = $1

Does Anyone Use Sunday Coupon Inserts Or A Similar Service?
Paper delivery in my area has become hit or miss, several times a month I have to call for credit for missed deliveries. The only reason I really subscribe is for the coupon inserts, and in my area I rarely get the high value coupons anymore. I thought about ordering inserts through a service like Sunday Coupon Inserts but just wanted to know if anyone has experience with them or something similar.

I haven’t received Paypal either, and I just received a $10 prepaid that must be from one of the requests. Now I have to go back and figure out which one. I really wish they would attach tracking numbers to the mailings.
You can’t enter apartment numbers? My house is #52 but for rebate AB-5247 I would submit my address as 52 Main St., #5247. That’s how I used to keep track of Staples rebates back in the day and they always arrived. If you live in an apartment you could try e.g. Apt. 6B-5247.
I have a single home address and I had been able to do that second line address trick previously, but now the rebate gets rejected for invalid address.

This is a quickie for my NBPR peeps. There is a meat rebate from Coppola that doesn’t require a wine purchase but expired on 11/6/21. If you have a $5+ meat receipt laying around and want to give it a shot here’s the info:
go to coppola . inmarrebates . com (type it out people), under submit a rebate click on “click here to begin”, look for the rebates with the cow on them and find the one that doesn’t say with the purchase of wine, this one OFFER CODE: FFCW021C3, the submit this offer and the rest is pretty normal.
I did this offer a week ago or so and got a your submission is good email today. Note that this rebate doesn’t have any states listed in the t&c and my state is usually a wine/liquor required state and now sorta a BPR state.
You maybe get $5 or your maybe waste a little time. No guarantees.
Completed rebates must be received by 12/06/2021.
Thank you for this one! Just received the approval, and a bonus to me at least is that it pays by check.

RE: MASTER THREAD -NBPR - No Beer Purchase Required Rebates online submission
I just noticed the wording in the final check box on AB rebates that the purchase you are using has not been used for any other AB rebates. How long has that been there? I often use the same receipt for different offer numbers when the product is the same eg. meat purchases. Just wondering if I have been on autopilot and just checking the box because it is required and not reading it through. Haven’t had any rebates rejected in the last couple months so either it is new or they have not been diligent in checking.

I made the mistake of redeeming for a virtual Am Ex card for under a dollar and now I am finding it hard finding a place where I can redeem it. Any suggestions?
Can you add it to a digital wallet and select it for payment at a grocery store? I know prepaid VISA and MC automatically deduct balance on the card and the register then just asks for another form of payment for balance. Don’t remember if AMEX work the same way. I guess Amazon will not let you empty for less than $1?

What coupon are you talking about? Coupons in general or a specific coupon? If you are talking about the $15 BC/$50 coupon, it scanned fine with no intervention needed. There are no self-checkouts in my area also.
Yes, the $15 BC/$50. But the bonus cash still credited, so I don’t understand what the cashier is seeing when the coupon is scanned.

Please post if you receive an instant notification that the $5 bonus has applied just like the small business promotion they did back in August on select AMEX accounts. Sometimes I go to tea shops or bakeries and have a hard time trying to figure out if these qualify as restaurant purchases.
My transaction posted immediately.

RE: 12/30 only Weds Stacking of offers! DOSH/SWAG/Google Pay Offer: $25/50/30 back on Walmart+ Annual Subscription = net $7mm
@mrvietnam said in 12/23 only Weds Stacking of offers! DOSH/SWAG/Google Pay Offer: $25/50/30 back on Walmart+ Annual Subscription = net $7mm:
Here is a comment I saw on DoC:
PSA: If you do the “sign up for trial then cancel, then sign up through SB” method, be sure to not buy anything from walmart before the SB show up in your account as pending, since I bought some $5.94 shampoo 10 hours after I sign up and now my Walmart+ sb tracking is showing $5.94 for the purchase amount and 0 SB earned.
Thanks for all the info., this worked for me. I was a little worried since there are people on Reddit detailing how the offer wasn’t crediting and they were having trouble with SB support. I think it is dumb you do not get a detailed Walmart receipt for the sign up, only a confirmation email. Regardless, the offer took 24 hrs. to show as pending for me on SB. The DOSH was immediate and about 2 hrs after sign up for Gpay.

Great deal, MC.
Tomorrow only (12/23) DOSH will pay $25.
If you sign up for the trial, you can cancel it right away and then sign up again for Walmart+ and it will charge your credit card right away. I am afraid if you wait to be billed until your free trial is over the offers may change on you.
This will actually be a $7 MM if all three offers get credited as they should. Also, make sure to check your credit card offers on your credit cards as you may have a Walmart+ offer.
But if you cancel, and then sign up again, won’t that mess up the Swagbucks cash back? I would think you would have to go back through the SB link a second time. Plus, DOSH says you must click the 'Shop" button to receive the $25 cash back. I have never used DOSH before, but it seems like cash back for this membership will track through that link.

RE: [No Longer Available] Google Pay: Spend $50+ At Target & Get $21 Back - expires 12/31/20 (Seems this deal died early for new activations. If you’ve already activated the deal, it’s still available.)
How long does it take for the transaction to post in GP? I purchased online at Target and I see no transaction anywhere in GP.

So, an off topic question. Gold Status ends on December 31, correct? As of then you have to earn Gold again starting January 1. In other words, no % discount starting January 1 until you spend to earn Silver or Gold status.

cooking question for anyone who may know.
What is the difference between Extra Virgin and just pure Olive Oil? Why is one ‘better’ than the other or is there not much of a difference?
Generally Extra Virgin is just supposed to be the pressed oil, no processing done to it except filtering to remove larger solids. Pure olive oil can be processed, think heated distillation, to remove impurities.
so why would one want to use one over the other? is there a difference in taste? cooking quality using it? etc?
EVOO has a stronger olive taste, best for dressings, sauces and where you want the heavier flavor. Pure olive oil will work the same, but with a milder taste and typically is better for sauteing and pan frying. But it really doesn’t make much difference in low heat cooking. Neither are ideal for high heat, you wouldn’t want to make a batch of fries with either. There are more intact healthier fats in EVOO, so using it is preferred from a health standpoint.

@mistercheap I’m guessing that a Staples order paid all with Rewards points wouldn’t qualify?
Just curious if anyone had success doing that on a similar prior offer…Probably not for all rewards as payment, but Staples line items discounts, even with online orders, so you would likely get some credit if you didn’t use all rewards.
