Heads up, they sent out another $5 today. YMMV as usual.
Also, if you missed using a certificate, you may be able to get it reactivated by calling. I didn’t do it but heard the option on the recording.

Bump for the 30% off that starts today through Oct 18. Note that Kohl’s no longer has free shipping with no minimum, unless you’re an “MVC” and spend at least $600/year.
Definitely bad news, I took advantage of that a lot. How about the workaround of ordering from a store parking lot (or inside the store)? Anyone know if that’s working these days?
To answer my own question, in case anyone else is wondering: It looks like you can still order from a store parking lot, in case you don’t want to go in (or as in my case one time, if the store is closed - especially with shorter hours now). I was at a store yesterday and did a test before I went in. The app showed that I was at a store and offered me free shipping, although I didn’t complete the purchase.

Does it have to be a new email address/account every year, or can I alternate between two existing accounts? I’m planning on creating a second account for the next year, but I’d rather not do that indefinitely.
The discounted deal is for new customers only, so you would need a new e-mail address and use a new credit card each time you do this deal. I also put a different family member’s name on the new account, just in case one day they ask why I have 5 different Hulu accounts.
Thanks. It’s good to be prepared ahead of time. I was hoping it was like Sam’s Club where it just had to be inactive for a certain amount of time. Oh well.
To be honest with you, I don’t know How Hulu defines a new customer. You might try on an account you haven’t used for some time. It may very well work and you will have nothing to lose for trying.
Since this was my first year, I’m going to have to make a new account anyway in November. Last BF I activated the deal on my old Hulu account from when everything was free, and I’d never had a paid plan there. So you’re right, it’s worth a try after another year to at least attempt to reactivate my current account. Nothing to lose, as you said. Thanks!

Also, during the Black Friday weekend, Hulu has some great deals on their standard service. Two years ago I got Hulu for 99 cents a month for a year. This past Black Friday they increased it by a dollar and the new annual deal was $1.99 a month for a year. Who knows what the price will be this Black Friday. They don’t make you pay in advance for a year, but they just guarantee that price when you pay month-to-month. The deal is only for new customers, so every Black Friday I make a new account with a different e-mail and credit card.
I did the $1.99 Hulu deal for the first time this year. After the first month I added a gift card I got at a discount, so that helped. (I hadn’t been planning on getting it at all or I would have been better off with the gift card from the start.) I want to do the same thing this year. Does it have to be a new email address/account every year, or can I alternate between two existing accounts? I’m planning on creating a second account for the next year, but I’d rather not do that indefinitely.
I also have a Fire Recast for antenna DVR, which I’ve been happy with after the initial adjustment, ever since Microsoft killed Windows Media Center last year, which I’d been running for a very long time before then. Plus Amazon Prime. Between all those I have way more things to watch than I have time.
I have a terrible internet connection - no FIOS available in my area - so any suggestions of good internet at a reasonable price would be helpful.
@MrVietnam
Glad it worked out for you. I hadn’t even started yet because I had no idea it was going to run out so fast, despite the language. Lesson learned for next month, like you said.

I just chatted with Amazon customer service and he asked me how I found out about the promotion. I said in an e-mail from Cheez-Its (not really, but I had to say something) and then he asked me to send him the e-mail. He said, "I’m really sorry any promotional from Amazon to you will be notified to you by the Email from us " He is leaving the chat window open for 24 hours for me to send him the e-mail from Cheez-Its. Is this promo advertised anywhere besides deal boards?
I have the Kellogg’s email if it will help you. It’s personalized (has my name in it) but if there’s a way to get it to you I could do that.
Regarding the memory card option for transferring, I don’t know what Fire device you have, but my 3 year old Fire 10 only has 32GB internal memory, so if you have something similar there couldn’t be more than that to transfer at one time. If you want to keep moving things off onto the card to free up internal space on the Fire without transferring to a computer, then a larger card would help with that.
@my4mainecoons said in How do I get pictures off of an Amazon Fire?:
@hbg1 I think I might know which was the cable that came with the Fire. I had no idea that there was a difference in cables until @fivetalents told me. I knew I had to be missing something, that I should be able to just plug the Fire into my laptop. When I tried with cheap cable I could see the Fire in my drives but wasn’t able to open it. First I’m going to try the cable I think came with the Fire. If that doesn’t work I’m going to try the cable that came with cell phone.
If that doesn’t work you could also try plugging it into a different computer if you have one accessible. If you can download the files to the other computer, then you can transfer the files with a flash drive to wherever you want.
