@MaBarker Thank you. I did the AAA and AAII applications for both my wife and I tonight. Had to wait an hour on hold as my final application said that I needed to call. They asked security questions and wanted copy of DL / ID / Passport. She apologized for the hold time and said they were getting slammed from people trying to open the bonus accounts. She laughed when she saw all of my recently opened accounts, and without skipping a beat said that if I funded the account, I would get the bonus since I applied before 11/1.

I can’t quote you, Ma Barker, but have a question that I could not find a conclusive answer to. Thanks to your info, my wife and I each opened a Discover savings account two weeks ago, using whatever $200 code was valid. We would like to now take advantage of the expiring AAA offer. Should we open two more accounts with our same info and deposit and deposit 20k each in the new accounts? I don’t mind doing this, but want to make sure that this give us the best chance of earning the AAA bonus in addition to the non-affiliated one.
We could also the the AAll offer, but don’t know what the requirements are. At first, I thought you had to be friend of Bill, but now think you need to be a law librarian. “smiley”

I can still “Post Quick Reply”, but if I click on the “reply” or quote" buttons, nothing happens. As well, if I type a colon and close parenthesis, normally an emoticon would appear. Now it doesn’t.
I’ve just deleted my cache (really deleted, not sent to trash) and rebooted. The issue still remains.
If something changed today, or if some testing is going on, this is my datapoint.

Thanks for taking the time to post, but does this seem kind of a like a sucky contest? I mean, the 4k in in product will cost you 1k in taxes and you may not even be able to sell it for that. The two gift cards might be okay, but if they limit usage of coupons with the cards, you might not be able to sell them for more than their taxes either.

@fw10001 One other thing to keep in mind. If you usually use your credit card or personal insurance instead of the exorbitant rates that rental car companies charge for quasi-insurance, check your personal policy and cc T&C. They usually don’t cover you outside of the country … or possibly North America.

No, don’t consolidate them for the reason @doveroftke said. In fact, for the cards that are primary, get you or your spouse added as AUs (authorized users) so that you get up to 3 more cards. Create online accts at Amex for each of the new cards and when a great offer comes along, you have greater odds of receiving it multiple times.

I think that at SD, the repost just redirects to the original. At least, that’s how their RSS reposts work.

Although the Macaroni Grill offer is for the rest of October, they’re bankrupt … and don’t have Hooters’ girls.
