Don’t remind me about souplantation closing. I lost $700. I could have easily used it up in 1/2 year, but they closed too suddenly. I even filed a claim at bankruptcy court, and didn’t receive anything.

RE: TARGETED: AMZ - 30% off when paying w Discovercard CB
I found I am eligible for one of these offers for the first time , but I read that there is only $792k or something like that worth of discounts available. Does that mean this offer run out in days if not today? I sometimes make mistakes being rushed ordering things.

RE: Safeway/Vons stores have changed gift card vendor and all gift card purchases eligible for rewards
@c3 I’m getting 1 Vons reward dollar for each $100 spent. Vons has offered this for regular gift cards for years.

RE: Safeway/Vons stores have changed gift card vendor and all gift card purchases eligible for rewards
Thanks for the advice. I hope nothing changes to the reward points, but i am still ahead even without the points. So far the vanilla cards have been working on all the payment sites I’ve tried them on. I did have problems with an income or property tax payment site several years ago with a certain type of visa gift card (I don’t remember which). The new format won’t even allow zip code registration, so maybe this reduces the processing rejection rate. I do a balance check with each card immediately after purchase, and so far so good after purchasing a lot of these.

Safeway/Vons stores have changed gift card vendor and all gift card purchases eligible for rewards
Blackhawk used to be the vendor or Visa and Mastercard gift cards and sales of these cards, which were never eligible for grocery rewards. Now, Fast Card sells Visa Vanilla gift cards and all are eligible for rewards @ 1% face value, so this practically pays for the service fee, which is very nice. I practically have more grocery rewards than I know what to do with ;). I am shopping more at Safeway/Vons as a result. The only problem is that the Vanilla cards cannot be registered online, but they still have the same fraud protection as Blackhawk cards practically speaking.

I received a 5% eBay bucks offer today, so I feel a little bit better about their decision to essentially scrap the program.

RE: YMMV: Hilton Am Ex Offer: Earn $5 back each month after you spend $5+ on U.S. dining. Hilton Honors Score More on Dining. Can do offer 11 times - once each month through 12/31/21 (up to $55 in statement credits). Expires 12/31/2021
Please post if you receive an instant notification that the $5 bonus has applied just like the small business promotion they did back in August on select AMEX accounts. Sometimes I go to tea shops or bakeries and have a hard time trying to figure out if these qualify as restaurant purchases.

I forgot to thank you. I have the dining offer too on my card!

If I remember correctly 30,000 pts = 1 night hotel stay at a decent property.
If that has a retail value of $120, then $5000 spend = $40 hotel credit or < 1% reward per $1 spent. It seems a citi double cash card could do better or are my point conversions bad? -
YMMV, World of Hyatt Card Holders: Start the year off with 5,000 Bonus Points
I have to say YMMV only because I don’t know if this is targeted, but why not give it a try if you are a card holder.
Use your World of Hyatt Credit Card from February 1 through February 28, 2021 and you could earn up to 5,000 Bonus Points (enough for 1 free night at a Category 1 hotel).1
This offer is on top of the points you already earn with your Card. Like 4X points for Hyatt stays, 2X points for dining out, 2X points on fitness club and gym memberships, 2X points for airline tickets and 1X points spent on all other Card purchases.2
Whether you’re making in-person purchases at the grocery store, automatic payments on bills or even contactless payments at your local café, you can earn with every purchase of more than $1
