Walgreens sent out an email introducing a new 4000 point reward tier. (= $4) and made the 5000 point reward tier (= $5) the maximum tier. So 5000 points is the maximum you can redeem per transaction – the other higher tiers have been eliminated. These changes are eff. 11/4/18.

This email also contained a 5000 pt ‘clip to card’ as a way of saying ‘thanks’.

So if you have a lot of points accumulated, you may want to use them before 11/4/18. I had over 90,000 pts, so I placed two $50 orders to eat up 80,000 pts.

Received an email from Discover yesterday…

"We’ve decided to retire Discover Deals as we focus on simpler and more meaningful ways to earn rewards. Any pending rewards will be added to your account as usual.

Thank you for your loyalty. Keep an eye out for exciting things to come and don’t forget, you’re always earning rewards on every purchase with your Discover card."

I know DD wasn’t the greatest program, but it was something. Oh well.

I received a $10 off $30 register coupon. It states “Cannot be combined with any other discount or coupon”. I have a $13 rewards balance coupon. Does this mean I cannot use the rewards balance coupon with the $10 off coupon?

Safeway changed their (gas) rewards program. Now you can apply earned points to groceries or gas. “Grocery Reward offers are only available on participating Albertsons Companies Banner store mobile apps.” My Safeway app has it.
