@ctgolfer Sometimes I spend too much time trying to find a better deal. By the time I find the better deal the item is oos or the sale has ended. Website says sale ends 2/7 but I just ordered to pick up in NH (save 7% sales tax). It won’t be there until Thursday which is about when I’ll be needing to be in that area to shop at Rite Aid. I have Best Buy gc that I didn’t liquidate in time so I’m trying to cash them out in other ways. I have a buyer for the air fryer.

RE: WEN 18-Inch Electric Snow Thrower - $79.99 @Woot FS for Primeposted in Hot Deals
@dangeruss snow throwers ~ dust busters, snow blowers ~ vacuum cleaners
If one doesn’t get a lot of snow and has a smaller area to clear then a thrower is good.
I had another 2" to clear today and I used a shovel. A thrower would have been helpful but I’d need 75’ of extension cord to reach the end of the driveway.
I use snow blower when the snow is heavy or deep or when the city has plowed in the end of my driveway.
I can have 4" on the driveway but 10" at the end thanks to the plows. Typically its when I’m already running late for work.https://www.bobvila.com/articles/snow-blower-vs-snow-thrower

Use code DELIVERCHEER for $3 off $15 order or LUNCHBREAK for $5/$20.
One could place a $15 order, pay $12 and earn 15% back on the $12 ($1.80) for net $10.20 for a $15 order. ~ 33% savings.
Maybe stack with the promo for “order any meal & beverage, get a dessert for 99¢”. Milk is the cheapest beverage.

@dangeruss Some cards like Amex Preferred which gives 6% back on grocery purchases so buying $500 is better than just $200. Also, if you’re trying to meet a CC spending requirement you get as much as you can for free.
I think Discover has 5% back on groceries this quarter and gc would count.

I have such fond memories of FAR software. It was Fry’s that introduced me to FW. I was looking for Norton AV on eBay. I saw a bunch of listings where people were selling boxes without the UPC. So I Googled for NAV without UPC and it brought me to a FW listing for NAV FAR at Frys.

RE: Staples Double Ink Recycle Rewards when you buy ink/toner & Recycle on SAME TRANSACTION In Store - Starts April 4posted in Expired Deals
@mistercheap On my “regular” account I’d purchase on the 8th so I can recycle the first week of October. But more to the point, they’re essentially giving us free recycling for 6 mo. It might be time to get some other family members to recycle.
-
RE: Staples Double Ink Recycle Rewards when you buy ink/toner & Recycle on SAME TRANSACTION In Store - Starts April 4posted in Expired Deals
@mistercheap March 27. It often takes a week or more for site to update. I also bought 2 ink for 40% back in Rewards and that isn’t showing yet either. I don’t keep track of my “recycling date” because I buy ink almost every month. IDK what the date shown (Sept. 23, 2021) is based on. Since I purchased ink on March 27th I’d think my anniversary would be Sept. 27 but maybe its Sept. 23. Moot point since I’ll be buying ink again on April 10.
Maybe the $80 is from the month you had to call to have them credited.

RE: Free S'ip by S'well bottle wyb $15 of participating General Mills Snacks by 4/30/21 - limit 2posted in Expired Deals
I might have too much time on my hands…
It turns out my submission was denied because I used coupons.
The response from the CSR was:
Keep in mind that in order to participate, the minimum amount required is $15.00 before tax and after any discounts/coupons are applied.
It doesn’t say that anywhere. Not even in the fine print of the 5 page legal document. (Control F is my friend.)
So I replied to the CSR that the T&C don’t say anything about coupon use.
I asked the CSR if they had a supervisor they could run it by and told CSR that I’d contact Corporate.
I said that when companies want the amount spent to be after coupons they clearly state it in the T&C.
I gave the example of P&G (emphasis is P&G’s):
receive a $15 prepaid card or purchase $30 and receive a $10 prepaid card. $50/$30 purchase total applies to the price paid after any coupon or discount has been applied. Trial and travel sizes and heated razors are excluded. If purchase amount is less than $50/$30 after a coupon or discount is applied, you will not qualify. Then I gave the example of Johnson & Johnson:
Purchase at least $15 worth of participating products** in one transaction between 12/27/20 and 02/01/21. Retain your receipt.
• Purchase at least $15 but less than $25 of participating products (exclusive of tax), choose a $5 Reward.*Johnson & Johnson will issue the $5 Reward even if I use $10 in coupons for a $15 purchase.
THEN I called General Mill’s 800# for Customer Service. Sadly it was off shore and there was no way someone off shore would understand this. So I sent an email.
I can bring the Larabars back to Rite Aid. They will return them at face value because they received the money for the coupons. Then I can rebuy the Larabars with the cash they will hand me. I’ll have a clean receipt for the S’Well bottle.
Its not about the water bottle. Its the principle.

RE: Staples Double Ink Recycle Rewards when you buy ink/toner & Recycle on SAME TRANSACTION In Store - Starts April 4posted in Expired Deals
It came down to play it safe and pay real money or to use Rewards. I decided to use Rewards and having made that choice figured since I’d end up calling Support anyway I might as well go for it.
I got ink for $39.99 (I forgot to PM to my dot.com special price of $34.99, but that would have meant hunting for even more filler) and a 6 pack of Pellegrino for $6.49. Recycled 20 in the same transaction. Used 2 @ $20 Rewards checks and a $1.50/1 Pellegrino mq. After tax and CRV the total came to about $5 on Chase Ink. My receipt shows the Rewards pro-rated with ~ $35 going towards the ink. So I’ll have spent ~ $5 oop and should get back $80 after a Chat.
I’m going to buy ink for my dad & my brother tomorrow. I’ll PM to my dot.com price on their accounts: $34.99 and get back $40 Rewards. Different store, different state, different cc, no Rewards, no shenanigans

-
RE: Staples Double Ink Recycle Rewards when you buy ink/toner & Recycle on SAME TRANSACTION In Store - Starts April 4posted in Expired Deals
@mistercheap why are you saying to make sure its $50 pre-tax?
I’ll be purchasing in NH where there’s no sales tax.
I get “special” online pricing. If I PM to my online price it will be $45.99 and I’d only be paying $5.99 on cc. There’s no minimum spend for the ink, correct?
I don’t need to meet the $30 to recycle minimum since I buy ink almost every month. -

@mrvietnam said in FREE ($3 MM) Neutrogena Acne Soap A/C + Ibotta @ Walmart - exp 07/09:
I have a question about Ibotta. I bought 3 soaps and a bottle of Bai. I didn’t realize at the time the Bai drink rebate was only for a certain flavor. I already submitted and got the money for the rebate for 2 Neutrogena acne bars. If I return the Bai drink to the store, will that invalidate my Neutrogena rebate or will those rebates stay since I am only returning the Bai drink of which I did not receive any Ibotta rebate?
Thanks for the deal, ctgolfer. It worked smoothly and was a nice MM. I got 3 bars because the third bar I submitted for a $3 coupon on the coupons.com app.
I highly doubt Ibotta tracks returns at all. And either way, why would returning Bai invalidate your Neutrogena stuff?
iBotta tracks WM returns. Its linked to the bar code on the receipt which you scan to earn the credit. Returns are processed by WM by scanning that same bar code.
IDK what happens if you just return the Bai. I would think it would be ok.
Did you receive the 25¢ for the “any flavor Bai except Strawberry Kiwi”?WM doesn’t post coupon so once I returned my iBotta purchase w/o receipt then repurchased using the coupon. YMMV as you have to have a willing CSR to process the return w/o the receipt. I’d scanned and received the $ for the first receipt. I just wanted my $3 coupon value back.

@sportsfan64 $75 is several months of groceries for me.

What do you eat everyday for $75 to be enough for several months of groceries?
Mostly produce. I have a very large stockpile that I am trying to eat down. The only meat I buy is for the cats and only when it’s on sale. We often get free fresh eggs. I buy ultra pasteurized milk which lasts for months. I bought milk expiring in August in June. Once opened it keeps longer too. Just got 3@64 oz. Good Moo’d free after ibotta. It will last me until September.
If I include iBotta my oop for groceries is about $600/yr with some of that being chicken, liver & eggs for the cats. -
