Does one receive iBotta for clipped offers if you order online? I saw 2% for the order which made me think one didn’t earn product rebates.

13 dozen @$5.99/doz ==> $2.91/doz.

ETA: only able to add 2 pkgs per brand of eggs to cart. Able to add 2 of multiple different brands.

How?

From what I remember…go to the rewards section and pull up the coupon. I think it will show that you redeemed ‘1’. change it to 0 and the points should be returned to your reward balance.

@my4mainecoons yeah, any $/$$ coupons the hit the order affect the required spend on online order deals. Just requires you to ‘spend more’ in that you have to add more stuff to your cart to meet thresholds and then you may be wasting money/getting stuff you don’t need or not at a great price.

I much prefer redeeming those on B&M visits.

I had to get stuff I don’t need to reach $75 at all. Added staples like sugar and oil. Then I realized that iBotta offers won’t work on BOPUS. The other thing that affects the cart total is the 5% Fresh Pass discount.

I recycled a few days ago and only received 500 points for a tech item.

iBotta took back when I did a Staples return.
No account is linked when you do a return at a supermarket so iBotta can’t take it back.

12x j4u points on $25 Domino’s gift cards this week. 300 points.

@pakle The $1 Sumo coupon was in the SmartSource insert included in the 2/2 Sunday paper. The $5/$5 come from the Safeway/Albertsons/Acme/Shaws etal supermarket for joining their paid program. We get a $5/$5 every month. The $10/$10 is a 3 week promo ending tomorrow: buy $50 in select gc, earn a $10/$10. I got Lowe’s, PetSmart & Zillions gc. I was buying a $400+ item at Lowe’s so I got 9 $10/$10 for 9@$50 Lowes gc. I got the Zillions card that works for Amazon, Chewy & Lowe’s and a couple of PetSmart cards for another 6 $10/$10.

@pakle I work from the other direction, ie I purchase based on discount. e.g. Sumo Citrus are on sale this week for $1.97/lb. 😍 I’m buying one lb. at a time and using the $1/1lb. mq from 2/2 SS. Then I add fillers to use $10/$10’s and $5/$5’s making my receipt totals $2 or less.

PetSmart gc are now 8x!

@mistercheap I don’t spend $5+ at a time regardless-- except on giftcards. My usual receipts are $2-$3. Buying eggs to DD with iBotta is a suggestion. I have plenty of eggs so not really interested in iBotta offer except if its MM.

@hbg1. I’m going to get a receipt from the SCO trashcan. I don’t buy any single item that’s $6+.

Buy $5+ eggs on Friday. I wonder if it would work if one paid with a $5/$5 j4u.

@george2001 thanks. I checked and saw that I received 1000 points for a cable that I recycled on Sunday.

The $10/$10’s that I received today expire 2/20/25. Now I wonder if they will all expire the same day regardless of when purchased.

It says they pay out via Venmo, Amazon or Paypal but I only saw Venmo and Amazon as options.

@c3 Yes but IME not as many available. Use the website to check stock. The store that I was in had 13 purple but only 2 blue.

Could someone repeat my experiment please?
I wanted to use my friend’s account so I showed her Rewards card instead of using her phone number. I wasn’t asked for ID when redeeming Rewards. Same for a 2nd transaction with my card. The only comment the cashier made was that the name was different. Does using the card instead of the phone number avoid the need for ID or was it due to the cashier not asking?

IMO Charmin Soft turns to lint more easily which is why I don’t like it. The Cottonelle Blue is probably similar to Charmin Red.

@mrvietnam You inspired me to check stock at nearby stores. One store supposedly has 13. All the others only have 2-3. The problem is using points from my friend’s account in a store that doesn’t know me.

2 weeks ago I got the only package of purple my store had. I think it was $14 then.

I got 7 Lean Cuisine $4.49 with 50% off stickers.
7@ $4.49 = $31.43
50% came off.
$10/$30 came off.
Account specific Bonus Path $2/$20 frozen came off.
Total $3.71 oop (53¢ ea.) for one of my favorites-- Butternut squash ravioli.

My local Shaw’s is small so they don’t carry full lines. If they receive a shipment of something not in their Plan-o-gram they mark it 50% off. The same item is full price at big Shaw’s, a few miles away.

@dangeruss I didn’t think that buying Plus would be as good as spending real money. You have to be a loyal customer to spend $1K. Then, if all the Plus account does is recycle they’re not going to “reward” that account.

As part of a purchase I got Lean Cuisine and Hot Pockets that had 50% off peelies.
Total before the peelies was >$30, after it was $29.18. The $10 came off.
So it appears that the $30 is calculated before store qs.

I didn’t need any of the stuff I bought but wanted to do the experiment.

Just saw this on Shaw’s so probably at all J4u stores and other grocers.
In the past we’ve had $20/$40 Nestle rebates and received gift cards.
In my list of j4u offers is $10 off wyb $30. The eligible products look like the same from the $20/$40 rebates. I recall getting San Pellegrino for ibotta & the rebate making my net <$5 for 7.
No expiration date shown.
As with previous Nestle rebates the $30 must be in a single transaction.
L2 per account. Much easier to use multiple accounts.
I’ll test clearance items to see if the original price counts. IMO the 50% off clearance peelie is a store q and the $10/$30 is a mq so should stack.

Not sure I agree on printer ink, because you don’t earn the rewards when you pay with rewards and staples tends to be high.

Have to give some thought to this on what the best options may be.

I bought ink for resale to keep Premier status. Figure $1000 for ink, get back 50% in Rewards. Resold ink. Used the Rewards to buy more ink or other stuff for resale. I think I broke even or maybe made a profit. Having maintained Premier consistently they gave me 400 points for 30 empties/month with the new program.

Research. Years ago when HP had rebates for specific items my friend (same JD above) & I scrolled through all the eligible products looking each of them up on eBay to check their sale history. So we got the rebate and then resold the ink.

Case paper. It goes on sale on Mondays. Sell it locally. Back when cases were FASER JD & I sold them to a print shop.

Charmin, Bounty, Kleenex & Ziploc for local sale. The 3 packs of regular Kleenex are ~$5.69, ultra soft $1 more in-store. It’s ~ $5.99 at WM, $6.99 on Amazon. Look for a Kleenex coupon. Years ago they went on clearance for ~$2. I bought cases of them and used coupons. Sold them to co-workers for 50¢ for a set of 3, lol. Finally sold the last case in 2023. It doesn’t go bad.

I recall getting $60 in Dicks gc from a previous promotion and struggling to spend them.

@mrvietnam My friend (above) was lending me her and her husband’s accounts but when I logged into his it brought me to her account. Staples used to merge accounts but IDK if they still do.

I recycle & redeem on a friend’s account (JD). I did a kiosk order for pick up at the store since I can’t ship to her and I don’t want to possibly link her account to my address. I went to pick up the items at the store tonight. Relatively new cashier asked me for i.d. to prove that I was JD. I said, “but I’m not”. He said, “well then never mind” and gave me the items. I said that it was the first time that I’d ever been asked for i.d. He said it was because the pick up screen told him to ask for it. He said that he’d seen me place the order so he knew it was ok.

After completing the pick up I recycled a battery & 10 carts on JD’s account then my 40 & a battery for my account.

@mistercheap do you have a link to the details? I searched. I would do it for a generic $10 VC/MC but not if only redeemable at eg Fanatics.

I got 50% on my most active account, 30% on account that just recycles.

So many questions. How do they determine “active wear”? What is active wear? Do people review every receipt to decide if your item qualifies? Are there specific merchants you have to buy from? Could you buy something then return it?
