A little slow this AM. Formatting of the OP led me to believe the one subject composition books were 50¢ this year but they’ve been 17¢-25¢ in past years. After re-reading a few times figured out that the 25¢ section header is above the items and horizontal dividing line-- doh.

RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
not sure what’s going on.
I put 7 of a $19.99 tool in my Sears cart.
Total $139.93 + $7 tax.
Redeemed $14.93 in pts so my total is $125 + $7 tax.
Shows that I’ll be getting back $176.25 in points.Base Points: $1.25
Bonus Points: $175.00
Total CASHBACK in Points: $176.25I know they’re giving away the store but now they’re paying me to take it?
There must be a $50 back wyb $50 offer that’s stacking.

RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
@mrvietnam Here’s a copy of what I posted when the deal was for a riveter.
OK, so here’s what I do with tool deals. e.g. •Craftsman General Purpose Riveter $5.92 w/ $0.94 SYWR points back (reg. $12.99)
Requires FreeCash/Surprise Points. Last week I had $12 in FreeCash.
I bring riveter to the register (only works on Tools and B&M). Tell the cashier I want to pay full price.
They scan item, get to screen that asks “would customer like an instant gift card?”.
Cashier enters “yes”. Price jumps to $12.99.
I pay $12 in FreeCash, 99¢ with Sears gc.
Cashier then issues gc for $7.77. $7.77 = $12.99 (regular price) - $5.92 (sale price) + 10%.
I do this A LOT. Have earned hundreds in Sears gc.Its called the “regular price offer”. Here’s the description from website:
Pay full price & receive a Sears gift card for 10% more than you will save with the sale price. Not valid with discounts or coupons -
RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
@my4mainecoons This socket set is good for when you have a lot of points to cash out.
Reg price $99.99 (hah!) sale price $29.99. Difference $70 + 10% = $77.
My acct has $12 wyb $60 Free Cash.
Transaction #1:
Socket set scans for $29.99. Tell cashier I want to pay full price.
Price jumps to $99.99.
Apply the $12/$60 FC. Total now $87.99.
Pay with $87.99 in points. Receive $77 gc.
Balance $87.xx in points.Transaction #2:
Socket set scans for $29.99. Add in a bottle of hand soap for $1.
I have a $15/$100 coupon.
Tell cashier I want to pay full price. New total $100.99
Apply coupon. New total $85.99.
Pay with points. Receive additional $77 on gift card.I paid $132 w/ gc and I’m putting $154 back on to the gc.
They can add funds to gc’s so I keep using the same gc until the stripe wears out. -

The T&C for the $125/$125 offer are confusing. One sentence says pts awarded in 24 hrs and are good for 30 days. Next sentence says they’re awarded the next day and expire in 7 days. Won’t know true expiration until points post. Would be nice if we had 30 days in which to use them.
I looked up a Kenmore vacuum cleaner for $138 and it shows that the $125 back in points are awarded in 12 installments over the next 12 months. You may want to check on that for yourself.
that’s a different promotion but good thing Mr. V is going to pay for his vacuum w/ points.
There are 2 separate promotions. One is for tools and the other is for anything in the store and those pts are issued over 12 mo. I posted the T&C for tools above. -
RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
HEADS UP!!! If you didn’t jump on the tools deal yesterday its NLA.
Yesterday all the tools I checked showed Spend $125 on Tools get back $125 .
That’s gone and if you spend $125 on tools now you only get back the $125 divided over 12 mo. -

@ctgolfer thanks. My RiteAids are all becoming Walgreens but until then looks like closest Walgreens is an hour away. I haven’t signed up for Walgreens yet but I’ll do it in case I’m in that area this week. For those interested, these are the little bottles (25 loads) vs. the ones on sale at RA this week (32 loads, 50 oz.).

@dionaea I got the $22 chicken one but no reviews yet. There’s also a $15.99 small breed variety which I’m going to give to the cats-- putting a little at a time in their usual food. The major difference between dog & cat food is that taurine is always in cat food but not necessarily in dog food and cats fed dog food regularly could become taurine deficient. I’ve mixed dog food into cat food in the past and it hasn’t caused any problems.

@mrvietnam In the past I’ve ordered a single packet of Kool Aid for $0.25 if you can get a grocery item. I get lemonade mix and put it in iced tea.
Looks like Kool Aid no longer on website. Guess they got tired of pulling single packs…
Sign marker is in hardware, not office/school supplies so qualifies even when shopping w/ exclusions.
I have a lot of suet cakes (bird cookies) which are often $1.
Thumbtacks are also hardware.

If you don’t have exclusions, search “composition book”. $0.50 and might actually be useful. -

RE: Amazon Prime Day 2018: Deal & Coupon Offers Compilation
OT
@briarycliffs I’ve actually done quite well at PetSmart in the past 6 months. I bought $5/1 dry cat food ProPlan coupons and used them with the $10 PetSmart crt, each purchase generating another CRT. Ended up paying $1- $4 for 6 lb bags. Did 2-4 back to back transactions in stores until I’d used all 20 q’s. More recently did price match to dot.com using email targeted store coupons and current edition of the $5/1 ProPlan.Last year stockpiled Precious Cat & Oko Cat. Petco had a store q for $10/1 Precious cat and the 10 lb box was $10.99. I bought all there was in my area and had friends & family pick it up near them. Can’t recall the deal for Okocat but I was getting it at supermarket. When it runs out I’ll go back to using horse pellets.

YMMV on getting this coupon accepted at a Sears store. I used it one time and then I came in the next morning to try to use another one but the cashier said they are no longer accepting that coupon per the manager. I decided to go to a different Sears store and one of the managers happened to be my cashier and said that they are nor accepting that coupon as it is not a Sears coupon. He said Retailmenot made it and it was not authorized by Sears. I wonder if I get order online and just enter the coupon code online and bypass the cashier altogether. Those are the only two Sears stores in my area. At least I was able to use the coupon once to get a great deal.
Its an instore only q. To confirm that I did a test cart and tried to apply a code.
We’re sorry, this coupon is only eligible in our stores and not online. To see if other coupons are available, visit Deal Center. -

@ctgolfer Heading down 91 to 15, Manchester and Vernon require too much of a detour. However, now that Holyoke, Enfield & Milford are going/gone I guess I’ll have time. One Thanksgiving I left southern CT around 10PM and headed north stopping in Milford, West Hartford, Enfield & Holyoke Sears. KM in Milford & Holyoke. Stores were open 24 hrs that BF. Reached the stores in southern NH around 6AM, got home around 8AM and headed north to the 2 stores there. Overnight the stores were quiet, serving coffee & donuts. One of my favorite road trip memories… those were the days…

More by previous deals than the clothing coupon. Naka headphones were $10MM every 2 purchased. Clothing is just free and we don’t need clothing. Back then you could pay w/ SYWR pts and earn more SYWR pts. Bought 2 headphones for eg $50 paid in SYWR pts and got back $60 in SYWR points. That year I donated 135 prs of headphones to Toys For Tots when they advertised needing stuff for older kids. Folks got headphones and I got a Bosch dishwasher with my points.

RE: HIGH YMMV Sears Coupon: $10 off Purchases of $10+ on Regular or Sale Priced Clothing, Accessories, Lingerie, Sleepwear or Footwear
@dangeruss Maybe the item you purchased didn’t qualify? I used coupon today. Yesterday when I used it I had leggings & soap in transaction. Coupon worked on one order, not on the 2nd. SA figured out it was one of the leggings even though I’d picked them up off of the same rack and they’re same brand and price. Only difference was the color.
I’ve used the coupon a few times on same acct but no acct required. I’ve generally been purchasing w/o using an acct.
Today I got alarm clock and Space Challenge Maze. Like the LED flashlights, they’re left over from last Christmas. So $2+ tax after the coupon. In my store they’re on 2nd floor near escalators vs. the smaller Sharper Image stuff was in the Mens Dept. I also tried the Meguiars Car detailing products next to the Sharper Image. Coupon didn’t work on them.
