They’re 4 stars on Bauer. Their setup time was a little longer than most, but it finally got done. I sent them one email questioning how long it would take to open the account & they responded in a day. Yes, they compound monthly, but it’s still one of the highest rates around. For now. If you know of better returns elsewhere, please post here. I’m always looking. Thanks!

Re: Best NatiIonally Available High APY Liquid Accounts
I have used this site (and Fat Wallet prior) for many years to find the best deals on HY savings accounts. It looks like no one is keeping the site current any longer, so I’m wondering where you all go to find good rates & bonuses offered. Most of the sites I’ve looked at never report the deals I’ve found here. In times of declining rates, I’m always looking for a good place to part my money. Anyone found some good sites to do this? TIA.

RE: CD Thread - Post The Best Nationally Available Ratesposted in Finance
I went to the ACC page to establish membership. There is a $15 fee for individual membership. Just use promo code “consumer” & membership is free! I applied for an account but havenut heard back from them. Their website shows they had a network problem on 11/1 & are still in the process of getting their network back up, especially at branches. Makes me a little nervous. I hope the info I submitted is secure. Anyone else heard back from them & what was the timeframe?

Questions about Savebetterposted in Finance
I keep seeing savings products offered on the Savebetter platform & I’m just not familiar with it. I looked at their site & it appears that there are no fees involved - is that correct? There are some good rates being offered there, but I’m wondering - is there any downside to investing through Savebetter?
Your input would be appreciated. TIA.

@jtownsucks46 Not sure what’s going on with Brio Direct, but it does look like they’re only doing new CDs & not savings. However, I just got this email from them today:
Thank you for being a BrioDirect client. We are delighted to share the rate on your BrioDirect Savings Plus account has been raised to 4.10% APY* on January 10, 2023. This higher rate has been applied to your balance in your BrioDirect Savings Plus account AND any new dollars you add!

@jtownsucks46 Limitation with the Popular Direct savings account -
“You may only have one linked external account at a time, and you must wait at least 60 days between changes. If you are a new customer, this timer started after you successfully linked the external account that you used to fund your first Popular Direct product.”
These restrictions on external accounts, ACH transfers in/out, etc. pretty much kill the deal for me. Seems like they’d attract more depositors if they were more flexible.
-
RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@jtownsucks46 Just a caveat - looks like MySavingsDirect only allows for one checking account to be linked for initial funding. After 60 days, another checking account can be linked. Wish they would allow transfers from other savings accounts. Great rate, though!

Wealthfront savings up to 3.8% today. From their email:
Today, we raised the Cash Account’s APY for the 7th time in 2022, and just like all those other increases, it means more money for our clients! We’re proud to offer one of the best rates in the industry at 3.80% — more than 75x higher than some big banks we know.
Now’s a great time to check in with your money to make sure none of it is sitting in a low-earning account.
With a Cash Account at Wealthfront, you’ll earn 3.80% APY on all your cash, you’ll never pay account or overdraft fees, you’ll enjoy unlimited fee-free transfers, and your money will be backed by FDIC insurance — which we recently doubled to $2 million through our partner banks.

RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@jtownsucks46 Thanks for the update. I kept looking for the 4% at ConnectOne & wasn’t finding it. This explains it.
-
RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@jtownsucks46 Yes, that’s true. I forgot about that because the account I usually want to transfer from charges a fee to send an ACH transfer, so that’s not an option. I have pushed money through another bank that doesn’t charge fees, but I don’t like going to all that trouble. It shouldn’t be that difficult to give a business my money!! Ha!
-
RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@jtownsucks46 I would move a lot of my $$ to Merchants if they were more depositor friendly. There’s no way to make ACH transfers after the first one. You can make a mobile deposit, but you have to write a check to get money out. That’s not what I expect from an online bank. So, sadly for them, my money is going elsewhere.

@goldsheet I’m doing pretty much the same. Thanks for your list. I check it & PhatWallet daily to keep up. Opened a SalemFive account yesterday & started transferring Bask funds & then Bask goes up today, even high than SalemFive. Can’t win!! So I just spread it around & it all averages out. Moving everything under 3% now.

@jtownsucks46 Another site is showing this account (CFG Bank) limits ACH transfers to $5K daily, $30K per month. Anyone know if this is still the case? TIA
-
RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@jtownsucks46 Merchants is definitely the highest rate I’ve seen so far, but I have an account with them & it’s very difficult to maintain. It’s hard for me to transfer funds in, because my bank (BofA) charges a fee to transfer to an outside bank account. I realize that’s not the case for everyone, but just be aware of this. The info I got from Merchant’s a few months ago is as follows:
There are three ways that you can transfer to and from your account with us:
1.Wire transfer ( We will refund our wire fee in or out. You will just need to let me know that you are doing a wire so I can refund it)
- ACH ( You would need to initiate it through the financial institution that you are moving the funds from or to)
- Check. (You can mail a check to us and we will deposit it for you or you can write a check to move funds to you other financial institution)

RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@goldsheet Looked into this & doesn’t look like a great deal. You get 4% (for now) on $2K & zero on amounts higher than that. You can set up savings pods & get “interest” on each, but basic members can have only 1 pod & premium members can have 3. Interest is reported on a 1099-MISC, not a 1099-INT. At least this is my reading of it. It’s an interesting concept, just wish it was more expansive.

Comenity Bank is offering 0.75% on their savings accounts right now. $100 minimum to open. No hidden fees. Doesn’t seem to be any onerous requirements. I may give them a try.

RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@atikovi I need to move some money & do that. I was trying to transfer from my regular checking & they charge a fee for ACH transfers to outside banks. It’s doable, but it will take a little work. Just wish Kabbage would raise the $6K transfer limit. I hate having to jump through hoops.
-
RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@atikovi So maybe opening deposit isn’t limited? LMK if you do another transfer & if it’s limited to $6K. I sent them an email to see if they’d raise it.
-
RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@atikovi Interesting. I must have been lucky. Opening deposit has cleared. ACH transfers in & out allowed. No fees. I’m happy. Only hitch is $6,000 per day max & you can’t schedule future transfers. So that’s kind of a pain if you want to transfer in a larger amount. Guess you could write a check & do a mobile deposit. I haven’t tried it yet, though.
-
RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@atikovi I didn’t have to do that. I applied as a sole proprietor under my name & SSN. Nothing further needed. My opening deposit is still pending, so I can’t see if I’ll be able to do ACH transfers out or if I’ll have to write a check. I just hope they don’t drop the interest rate right away.

RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
Paramount checking is now .75%. One thing I’ve encountered with them is that incoming external transfers are limited to $5K per day. I can’t deal with such low limits. I’ll be looking for alternatives. Will Zynlo allow multiple accounts?
