Mountain America Credit Union (MACU) has a 12-month CD at 5.25% APY with $500 minimum deposit and no stated balance cap. Easy membership requirement w/ACC membership. New members – call 1-800-748-4302 to open an account (or visit their nearest branch). A minimum $1 deposit in a Primary Savings account establishes a MACU membership.

They also offer a 12-month Growth CD at 5.25% APY with $5 minimum deposit up to a maximum of 100K. Additional funds may be added any time up to the 100K cap. Minimum $10 automatic monthly deposit requirement.

Ally Savings Account rate is increasing to 4.25% APY effective 8/01/23

Ally 11mo No-Penalty CD decreased again from 4.35% APY to 4.25% APY (now lower than their Savings Account rate, still holding steady at 4.35% APY as of today…)

Ally 12mo CD decreased again from 5.00% APY to 4.90% APY

Ally 9mo CD decreased from 5.15% APY to 4.95% APY

Discover Bank increased its online savings account to 1.30% APY with no minimum balance requirement.

Ally Bank increased all three tiers of its 11-month No Penalty CDs:

1.15% APY with less than $5,000 opening deposit
1.35% APY with $5,000 minimum opening deposit
1.60% APY with $25,000 minimum opening deposit

In addition, it increased its 18 month CD to 1.75% APY with $25,000 minimum deposit

Ally increased the rate on its 11 month no-penalty CD to 1.75% APY for balances of 25K or more. They also increased the rate on their 12 month CD to 2.00% APY. Both of these rate hikes are supposed to be for a limited time (12/19/17 thru 1/02/18).

The National Park Service (NPS) has announced that it will waive admission fees to its parks on the following four days this year.

January 15 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
April 21 – The start of National Parks Week
September 22 – Public Lands Day
November 11 – Veterans Day

Per Ken, EBSB Direct has unveiled the latest addition to its product line: a High-Yield Statement Savings (HYSS) account, which earns 2.50% APY on balances between $5k and $1m. $50 minimum opening deposit, new money.

CD Bank is offering a 24 month CD for 3.00% APY. The minimum deposit is $10k, with no stated balance cap.
