Getting paper iBonds with tax refund is a P.I.T.A. They come in seemingly random (and sometimes small) denominations. Then you have to mail in the physical iBonds to convert them into electronic versions… and then they sit in a conversion account which is separate from the other iBonds that are purchased on TreasuryDirect.

@mrvietnam When I first signed in on a web browser, it showed 500 points. After clicking around different places to look for more details (e.g. transaction history, etc), it showed 530. Now when I go into website and app, it shows 500 points.

My account gets this promo periodically. Not sure if there are different flavors of this promo, if it changed recently or was just not using it properly, but the last one I got was actually redeemable as a $5 coupon. Previously, only redeemed for items up to $5. Decided to try using it for items over $5 based on verbiage displayed on cosmetic items in app which mentioned using the $5 promo.

Thanks OP. Did not read email carefully today and deleted it. Went back to my trash and claimed the $2.50. Wasted a previous $2.50 virtual card so used it right away to load $2.50 to my Amazon GC balance like 2nd poster.

No win today using Free Online Method of Entry, but won a Black Ticket yesterday and a Large Beverage the day before. Won on the first play both days, but only used 2 plays today.

Some notes based on personal experience:

• Citi is NOT doing conversions from other cards (eg ThankYou Preferred) yet

• Credit Inquiry hit is against Experian

• Other forum reports that the offer in branches is $300 bonus after $1000 spend, which is the same offer for Citi employees

Other forums are reporting successful product conversion from ThankYou Preferred and Citi Dividend with no change to account number and conversion/transfer of existing rewards balance.
