I just really, really, really wanted to buy this as a homeschooling computer for my kids. But half of the stuff they do requires a DVD… why not digitized you say? Because homeschooling companies are stuck back in 1995.

maybe so but that is additional cost where before it was included, seems all the companies are not including drives, but prices stay the same. I’m an old timer who refuses to lose physical media i truly own over apps and digital movies that can never be resold because you don’t truly own anything.

@FrugalFreak it’s a trade off, not going to find a laptop with these specs at $240 with the DVD burner. Not everyone needs it now or already owns an external device to use. If it doesn’t work for you, don’t buy it, but for some I’m sure it’s a nice price and good buy.

"OK so i called and they emailed me 4 separate coupons for my 4 separate orders and placed the coupons manually while on the phone with them. Michelle from customer service says it was a “misprint.” i also went through retailmenot for 15 cash back on each order over 75. no idea if that will come through. but hey you never know."

@orthros if you call Staples to place the order, they will give it to you for $239.99, was a misprint supposedly in the ad.
