@KohlsPowrShopper What do these 2 deals look like for someone who does not have a Kohl’s credit card? They wouldn’t get Kohl’s cash, right? They also wouldn’t get YTY rewards (I don’t even know what that is or how to use them)? Can the Kohl’s Visa Prepaid cards be spent anywhere, or only at Kohl’s? If the last 3 sentences are true, non Kohl’s credit card holders essentially/almost get a buy 3 get 2 free deal ($20 OOP for the first rebate offer or $15 OP for the 2nd rebate offer). Also, can you use both rebates?
-
You don’t need a Kohls CC for this deal.
The Kohls cash is an in-store coupon that must be used Nov. 26-Dec.6
The Visa cards can be used anywhere, I always use mine at the gas station.
You have to sign up for the Yes To You rewards, $1 spent equals 1 point, 100 pts. equals $5.00 rewards, they work just like Kohls cash, but usually have a longer expiration (30 days?)
I am working to post the deal that we have done the last 3 or 4 years.
it is slightly complicated, but i will try to clarify it.
-
Thanks @jmc
I’m thinking about getting:
10-Speed Hamilton Beach Blender (reg. $25)
Hamilton Beach Can Opener (reg. $25)
Crock-Pot 4-Quart Slow Cooker (reg. $40)But I haven’t shopped Kohl’s in years, and only 2-3 times ever, so I want to make sure I mess anything up.
ETA: the OP says the 12-item rebate offer costs about $2 each when you buy three… but the math looks like a total of about $2 for all three (not $2 x 3). Am I missing something?
-
@kohlspowrshopper I remember doing this last year and ending up with a bunch of Kohl’s cash which I then used to buy a Cuisinart Pressure cooker for next to nothing. IIRC I ordered ~ $100 in small appliances to maximize Kohls Cash.
Do I have this correct? Spend $100 on appliances, get back $72 in rebates, $30 in KC and $5 in Y2U?
In the past I’ve ordered online to pick up in a no-sales tax state.
-
5% cashback on Discover Deals

The limit on both rebates is 5 items ("$72 in rebates" = 12 x 6… “30 in KC” = $5 x 6).
-
@fivetalents Limit 5 rebates per product per household means one could get 5 mixers, 5 crock pots, etc. That’s what I’ve done in the past. Hmmm. Maybe go for 12 products, $200… I have Kohls gc purchased with SYWR points at RA… I think that’s what I did last year, ~ $200 worth.
-
@my4mainecoons OK, I thought the limit was 5 per rebate form… not per product.
-
@fivetalents IIRC the more you buy the lower your net cost. Of course that assumes you can unload the appliances. I’ve had crock pots, toasters, blenders & coffee makers at yard sale for years. I think I’m getting Panini makers, toaster ovens and waffle makers this year.
-
@jmc I’d like to get 6 at each price point, no more than 5 of one item.
6 @ $21.99 = 131.94
6 @ $19.99 = 119.94- 15% = - 37.78
total oop $214.10
Earn $60 Kohls Cash, $144 back in rebates and $10 (?) in Yes2You = $214
Can I stack the $10/$30 from Discover?
Would lower the oop but doesn’t change the KC and would still get $10 in Yes2You.
Would make it $10MM + 5% on $200 from Discover ($10) for $20 MM?
- 15% = - 37.78
-
Don’t forget 6% back at ebates
Can I mention them here?
-
@tuskers Sure you can mention them but I don’t use that company.
I’ll use Discover and its in my math-- “5% on $200 from Discover”
-
my4mainecoons Can’t you use both, this company AND your discover card?
-
@tuskers Discover gives its cash back if you go through Discover.com vs. going through ebates.com or ShopAtHome.com or TopCashBack.com or Plenti.com, etc. You can only go through one site.
-
Heads Up for anyone thinking of doing this deal and using Discover Card. The $10/$30 coupon expires today, 11-22-17. Stacked it with 15% off code.
Bought 6 @ $21.99 & 6 @ $19.99 = $205.59.
No shipping (picking up prevents damage) and no sales tax.
Getting back $144 in rebates + $60 in Kohls cash = $204
Should also receive $10.28 (5% Discover) and earned 206 Yes2You pts ($10?).
net $18.69 MM for 12 appliancesLess than 15 min after placing order received the $60 in Kohls cash and a 25% off coupon valid 11/30-12/6. Maybe Discover will issue a new $10/$30 for December.

Do you need a minimum of $5 (100) Y2Y points to cash them out? In other words, if I only get 56 Y2Y points, are they worthless?
-
@fivetalents I’m a Kohls newbie (this was my 4th order, lol) but I think you have to have $5 BUT it doesn’t expire. I had $4xx in Yes2You for about a year and they finally just gave me a $5 one to empty my acct.
-
@my4mainecoons the right way is to buy 7 of the 21.99 items and 5 of the 16.99 items. I am going to post the deal and math in hot deals.

I think your way may be the wrong way.
=$31.74 MM after rebates, Kohls cash, YesToYou rewards, and mPerks
- IF your Kohls Cash is only $60 you only have a $16.74 MM
- you end up with mPerks. IDK what mPerks gives you but if its $20 at a regional supermarket that’s no deal IMO.
My way $18.69 MM includes $20 in Discover cash back which can be used to purchase e.g. $50 Staples gc for $45 => $5 profit as cash when used to buy 1¢ reams.
That becomes a $23.69 MM before reselling the paper. 6 reams @ $2 ea adds another $12 profit. We’re up to $35.69Your way $16.74 MM and $20 which can only be used at supermarket.
I prefer cash and using my 3% groceries Amex. Not to mention appliances with better resale value.

@fivetalents asked:
What do these 2 deals look like for someone who does not have a Kohl’s credit card?
Kohl’s is offering these Black Friday prices to all customers, regardless of the form of payment tendered (cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Kohl’s Cash, Yes2You Rewards…).
They wouldn’t get Kohl’s cash, right?
Between Nov 20-25, 2017, all customers will receive $15 (reg. $10) Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent, regardless of the form of payment tendered.
Beginning Nov 26-Dec 06, 2017, that KC can be redeemed (spent) to purchase anything in the store (or online), including items that are generally excluded from general %-off sales (exclusive name brand items).
During this redemption period, Kohl’s will be running several promotions, including:
- 20% off storewide (Nov 25-29)
- 20% off select fine & silver jewelry (Nov 25-Dec 09)
- 20% off select toys (Nov 25)
- $10 off $50 select clothing, shoes, & accessories (Nov 25)
- $10 off $50 home (Nov 26)
- $10 off $50 storewide (Nov 27)
- $10 off $50 select outerwear, boots, cold weather accessories, sweaters, fleece, & bedding (Nov 28)
- 25% off storewide (Nov 30-Dec 06), which will also be a new KC earning period
If you set up a free online account at Kohls.com, you can increase your shopping savings by utilizing special coupon codes at checkout (Official Kohl’s Sales and Promo Codes Master Thread); as codes become active, Kohl’s will automatically place them in a “Wallet” to be utilized as an online code and/or as an in-store pass, along with any KC or Y2Y Rewards that you have available to redeem. For online purchases, simply enter the applicable code at checkout; in-store, simply show the cashier the pass on your mobile device (or print it out) for scanning.
To determine if a purchase is eligible to earn KC, Kohl’s subtracts department-specific discounts first, followed by $-off site-wide discounts, KC and Y2Y redemptions, and, finally, %-off site-wide discounts.
They also wouldn’t get YTY rewards (I don’t even know what that is or how to use them)?
Yes2You Rewards (Y2Y) is a loyalty program available to all customers – enrollment takes just a few minutes to sign up for free at any cash register.
For every $1 spent at Kohl’s, a Y2Y Point is earned (occasionally, Kohl’s offers triple points for every $1 spent); points accumulate until 100 are reached, at which point, Kohl’s converts the points to a $5 reward, to be spent on anything at Kohl’s during the following month (after which, the reward expires).
If 100 Y2Y Points do not accumulate within one month, they will not be lost, as with many loyalty programs, but will rollover from month to month until 100 points accumulate.
Can the Kohl’s Visa Prepaid cards be spent anywhere, or only at Kohl’s?
As @jmc reported, the Visa cards are generic and can be used anywhere that accepts Visa.
If the last 3 sentences are true, non Kohl’s credit card holders essentially/almost get a buy 3 get 2 free deal ($20 OOP for the first rebate offer or $15 OP for the 2nd rebate offer).
ETA: the OP says the 12-item rebate offer costs about $2 each when you buy three… but the math looks like a total of about $2 for all three (not $2 x 3). Am I missing something?
A purchase of three small appliances would look like this:
-
Initial OOP cost (not including sales tax): $56.07 for three $21.99 appliances; $50.97 for three 19.99 appliances.
-
Recoup $36 via three $12 Visa rebates, lowering the OOP cost to $20.07 and $14.97, respectively.
-
Recoup $15 via Kohl’s Cash (assuming that you were planning on buying something else at Kohl’s, anyway), lowering the OOP to $5.07 and (0.03).
-
Recoup an additional $2.80 / $2.55 in points toward your next $5 Y2Y Reward (again, assuming that you were planning on buying something else at Kohl’s in the future, once 100 points were reached), bringing the final cost of each to $2.27 + tax for three $21.99 appliances and ($2.58) + tax for three $19.99 appliances.
After sales tax of around $4 (taxed on the initial OOP amount), the adjusted OOP cost is about $1-2 per appliance when three are purchased; if more are purchased, as outlined by @jmc in a related post, the savings could be magnified.
Also, can you use both rebates?
Both rebate forms can be used, as the promotions are independent of one another:
According to the terms of each rebate, there is a Limit of 5 rebates per product per household, which sounds like Kohl’s will, for example, allow rebate #2 to be submitted for 5 waffle makers and 5 slow cookers and 5 large griddles and 5 small griddles and 5 coffee makers (= 25 items, $300 rebate). In that case, the rebate might be issued in the form of a check, instead of as a pre-paid Visa card.
As @MisterCheap confirmed with Discover Deals, certain credit cards offer extra cashback on department store purchases (5% of $56.07 = $2.80; 5% of $50.97 = $2.55), as well as special $-off rewards ($10 off $30); @jmc additionally reported earning cash rewards when purchasing Kohl’s Gift Cards at the grocery store.
To further increase your savings, numerous online cashback sites are vying for your click-thru to Kohl’s:
http://www.cashbackholic.com/cashback-rebates-kohls.com.htmlShipping will be free at $50; however, if you are concerned about your goods being damaged during shipping, by all means go for the BOPUS (buy online, pickup in store) option; for your sanity, just be sure to choose off-hours to pick up your order, because, as @MisterCheap so accurately described, the mayhem and uber-long lines blur between the POS registers and the Customer Service pickup desk for days/weeks after BF.
I’ve had success getting in and out quickly during the dinner hour and evening (Kohl’s extends store hours until 11pm and midnight until right before Christmas, at which point the stores are open 24 hours), but I think that I would prefer having dental work done over subjecting myself to the chaos in-store during the morning and afternoon, especially surrounding Black Friday and Christmas. But that’s just me.
-
@kohlspowrshopper When do Yes2You credits get issued? Once a month? Since I earned them this past week will they be available to stack with KC earned this past week? thanks.
-
@my4mainecoons they will be emailed to you on 12/1, they are issued monthly, so yes, they will be valid with your Kohls cash for a few days.
-
Kohl’s issues Yes2You Rewards on the first day of the month following the accumulation of 100 points, in 100 points = $5 increments.
If one were to earn 250 points during the month of November, Kohl’s would issue a $10 Y2Y Reward on December 1st ($200 points = $10); the remaining 50 points would then rollover into December, where they would continue to accumulate until the next 100 are earned (however long that takes).
Once a Y2Y Reward is issued, the recipient has just one month to redeem it, after which, it expires. Unlike Kohl’s Cash, there is no 10-day grace period to redeem, in the event that one forgets to redeem the Y2Y Reward before the month’s end. Because of this, Kohl’s will track Y2Y Rewards and send out email reminders when a Reward is about to expire.
The Kohl’s Cash you just earned thru 11/25/2017 can be redeemed now through 12/06/2017, @my4mainecoons; if you wait until the beginning of December to redeem it, you can not only stack it with your upcoming Y2Y Reward, but with other upcoming promotions, as well, such as a 25% off Friends & Family promo, 20% off fine jewelry, and a new $10 Kohl’s Cash earn period:

When I received the Kohls cash for purchasing appliances I also received a 25% off code valid those same dates. There’s a bar code with a PIN but it also says FRIENDS25. So nothing super special about what I received? If its the same 25% off storewide then I can’t stack it, right?
-
You will be able to stack your Kohl’s Cash with your Y2Y Reward and the 25% F&F site-wide coupon.
Kohl’s allows up to 4 coupons per transaction, deducted in this order:
- $-off department-specific promos (ex. $10 off $50 shoes)
- %-off department-specific promos (ex. 20% off fine jewelry)
- $-off site-wide promos (ex. $10 off $50 purchase)
- Kohl’s Cash redemption
- Y2Y redemption
- %-off sitewide promo (ex. 25% off Friends & Family)
-
@kohlspowrshopper I was asking about the % off code I received w/ the KC. Nothing special about it, correct? Its just the 25% off FnF code. When I received it I thought it was unique and I was “special” but I’m not.
-
The 25%-off F&F code FRIENDS25 is a generic, multi-use code, to be utilized by any customer during the promotion.
Multi-use codes are usually recognizable as such because they come with a codeword, such as FF25 or TURKEY20, to make entering into Wallet easier.
In contrast, unique, one-time use codes have no accompanying codeword and tend to be a random mix of letters and numerals, and often have a PIN, in order to ensure that the code is not re-used.
P.S. You are special, @my4mainecoons, even if your promo code isn’t.
-
@kohlspowrshopper awww thanks. That’s why I was confused. It says FRIENDS25 but there’s also a long code that has a PIN. It was the PIN that made me think it was unique. I guess the only way to know is to load it and see what happens.
-
I noticed the PIN designation on the multi-use codes, too…I wonder if that’s merely Kohl’s way of keeping track of promotions, since some of the codewords get recycled (FF25, GET15, TAKE15, HOME10, etc.)…?
