UPDATE: I found a Can And Bottle Opener Model# CBO-ANV for 48 cents.
Question: Since Home Depot only pays 0.5% cashback and the cashback earned on a 48 cent item would be only 0.0024 cents (a quarter of a penny) so I would probably not get the Ibotta $5 bonus, right? Even your $1 item would only earn 0.005 cents, but did they give you a penny cashback anyway? To complete the Ibotta offer is it necessary to be awarded at least a penny in cashback or does that not make a difference? How long after you placed your Home Depot order did they give you the $5 Ibotta bonus?

Easier said than done. I think I will cut into the MM at Home Depot and buy something at least a dollar and evidently they will round up as they did for c3.

$1.07That should net me 0.00535 cashback and I am hoping they round it up to a penny like they evidently did for c3 and trigger the $5 bonus. If not I will just return the flat chip brush for a refund.

I just ordered a $0.97 can of cat food from Petco.com. An online order counts towards the May Streak Bonus as well. $0.15 a week with another $2 for completing 4.

you don’t get it until the merchant reports the CB to IB. As long as you made the purchase on the eligible dates, you’ll get it when it’s reported. If you don’t hear anything after a week, open a ticket on IB.

With my Home Depot purchase, I got the one cent cashback and the $5 bonus automatically came at the same time, 20 minutes after my purchase. Since your bonus didn’t automatically credit like mine did, you may need to send a message to customer service to get your $5.

you don’t get it until the merchant reports the CB to IB. As long as you made the purchase on the eligible dates, you’ll get it when it’s reported. If you don’t hear anything after a week, open a ticket on IB.
Yes, the 1cent from OD purchase was posted quickly, that’s how I know the $5 bonus didn’t work for me (as several other people stated the bonus posted practically same time). Anyway,I did sent them an email and they responded quickly with the $5 credit.
