I went to Walgreens and did your deal scenario and everything worked flawleslsy, just like you said it would: the $3 digital coupon came off and I got a $4 Register Reward. The only thing that killed the deal was I did not have the regular retail cost of $5.99 like you quoted. In my area, it wasn’t $6.49 or even $6.99, but a whopping $7.29 for a small bottle of Head & Shoulders. I still did the deal, but the shampoo turned out to be about a dollar each before tax instead of free before tax. You win some and lose some I guess. I was able to cash out all of my Wags Cash Rewards except for 47 cents.

The prices are lower online @MrVietnam I really intend for people to do these deals via online when I post in HD, plus you get CB at Rakuten.

I wanted to do it online, but I thought that if I purchased online I would not be able to get the Register Rewards. You can order online with in store pick up and still get the Register Rewards? How?
I didn’t realize Wags has different prices online from in store. I guess Rite Aid does, so I should have just imagined Wags did the same thing.

That works fine for point offers but isn’t always a good idea for RR offers.
Store stock is often off so you lose your L2C coupons.

Store stock is often off so you lose your L2C coupons.Simply not true on a few levels:
If they are OOS on one or all items, you’ll be notified by email prior to going to the store. So you can simply cancel the order by not picking it up.
As for RR offers, If in stock, I’ve never had an issue getting the RR with my printed receipt at time of pick up.
As for losing the digital, if one is in stock on a purchase of two items type Q, pretty sure they allow the digital to apply to the one instock item. So depending on the math, may still be worth your time.

I have never had a $$ off 2 coupon applied to one item.
The system doesn’t work that way for manufacturer coupons.
I am well aware that you can cancel an order but you still lose the coupons.

I am well aware that you can cancel an order but you still lose the coupons.Well, in a scenario like this where the deal really is based on the online price, does it really matter? I mean, you’re so stuck on that point that you rule out doing the deal when it’s not a factor because I wouldn’t go to the store to do this deal to pay more OOP versus free just so I could guarantee the coupon would work.
I mean, come on… SMH

@mistercheap when did I say I wouldn’t do the deal in store? I was pointing out the flaws in the system. GOOD GREIF!

OK, no biggie. Guess I don’t let these issues with Walgreens system bug me much. I’ve also learned to allow substitutions of other same brand/same priced items that qualify for the promo (RR, points, dig Q, etc) to better my chances of not having any issues. I’m very specific what I put in the sub field on the orders.
