Expired: Rite Aid 12/3 - 12/9 (Free Bengay, J & J, Armicare cream a/ man/RA Qs/PP; 20% off RA gift cards: 1,000 PP wyb a $50 RA gift card - Limit 2)

The ad is blurry, but there is a PP offer on buying Rite Aid gift cards. Can’t see the amount. My only concern is that some RA stores will become Walgreens stores at some point, so I don’t know if the RA GC will be useless once that happens. I guess you could always use it online.
I will update this when I get more information.
EDIT: It looks like spend $50, get 1,000PP back. Not a bad deal when you consider this is giving you a 20% discount and if you are at Gold Wellness you get another 20% discount, so 40% off Rite Aid’s regular prices.
A little personal disclaimer here:
Be careful with Rite Aid gift cards. At least make sure they have a silver scratch off. I did this exact deal at Rite Aid a year or two ago and didn’t use the cards for a few months. When I tried to use 2 at the register at Rite Aid the clerk told me they had no money left on them. These particular cards I got did not have a silver scratch off portion on the back. Rite Aid stepped up to the plate and when I reported it to their loss prevention department and after an investigation they sent me 2 $50 Rite Aid gift cards to make up for the ones that were drained.
I guess moral of the story is if you do the deal use your gift cards promptly and do not sit on them too long.Probably sage advice for any gift cards (not just Rite Aid).

Sorry to quibble, but it would actually be a 36% discount.
If the regular price was $100, then it would be $80 if you are Gold and paying with these discounted gift cards makes your net price $64.

I assume you can buy one $100 card too, right?

Mr.V – do u know if RA gc can buy 3rd party gc? Thanks!

No, by all means, quibble. Thank you for the correction. Math never was my strong subject.

If the past is an indicator of future performance than yes, you can just buy one $100 gift card to max out the offer. I usually buy two $50 cards in case the cards are drained, I may not lose everything. This offer does not track, so it is best to only buy in the denominations of $50 or $100.

What I’m going to try is to buy RA gc with RA gc.Someone’s experience on this from SD:
It’s been my personal experience that RA gift cards cannot be used to purchase any gift cards. I used to have a really friendly store manager who tried every which way he could think of to get it to work and it was a no go - register would not allow it. Couldn’t hurt to try it though if you wanted to.

If you use or like the the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer my local stores had on clearance for $3.74 and there is a $3 coupon in today’s Smart Source so makes them .74. It is only the Monol Oil fragrance UPC 1910021581

@mrvietnam I did my experiment. I had a RA gc with $1xx on it. I tried to buy a $6xx gc.
Total $6xx, swiped the RA gc w/ $1xx on it and the register said “Rite Aid does not allow the use of gift cards for the purchase of gift cards, lottery tickets, postage stamps…”. It was worth a shot.

Good to hear. I guess because it was in the same order you got your Plenti points. If you would have bought $25 today and then another $25 tomorrow, I bet you wouldn’t have got Plenti points in that circumstance. That is what I mean by the offer won’t track.
-
hit 2 stores on Monday and both were out of RA GC. Never seen that happen before here. Almost wonder if they pulled them.
-
The RA that I went to only had 2 pegs of RA GC and neither were full. I took 4 (4x25), so that exacerbates the supply constraint.
This was at the Gift Card rack. Don’t know if they have more by the registers too.

@mrvietnam What I suggest that you do is to buy 5 $10 gc for $50. Earn 1000PP. Use each gc once and choose the option to receive the balance back as cash. (IDK if anyone else posting lives in CA where the minimum to cash out gc is $10.) Then use that cash and a little more to buy your next $50 in gc.
This one time only I wish I lived in CA.
-
@wmnetid What state are you in? If in MA, NJ, OR, WA the minimum to cash out is $5 so folks might be buying 10 @ $5.

Thanks for the idea, Maine. I took your advice and bought 10 $10 Rite Aid gift cards on one Plenti card, paying with a prepaid Visa. So now after I buy anything with each of these cards, even only a penny in tax, the register will allow me to cash out the rest of the gift card as part of the transaction. Gotta love it.
I tried to buy 10 more $10 Rite Aid gift cards, but the cashier was astute and realized I was paying with a prepaid Visa and canceled the transaction and said you can pay with a gift card with a gift card. No problem. There are many Rite Aids in my area, so I will just find one more that will let me so I can max out the offer on my second Plenti card, too.

This morning on the way to work I was successful in buying on my other Plenti card10 more $10 Rite Aid gift cards paying with a prepaid Visa. I love this deal!

I wish you could do it for me.
Turns out the deal tracks. Wish I’d known that yesterday. I could have tossed $10 RA gc into several of my transactions and paid for them w/ PP. Had so much “o” and was scrambling to cover it. I can still do a few but probably only get to $50 per card.
-
Since I’m losing RA I didn’t want to get too much gc. I got $50 worth on 3 accts, paying for them entirely w/ PP. It’s sorta going around in circles except I ended up with 1000PP for it.
