  • I must live in a Groupon void, there hasn’t been a decent deal, for me, in about 2 years. Everytime I did find one, the coupons would not apply.

A nice deal if you can use something

@LORENW if you are planning to travel or frequently travel to other areas, check out those cities/other parts of your metro area for restaurant or sightseeing deals.

Most offers are good from 6 mos - 12 months, so many would still be good in spring or summer 2018. I’ve often bought Groupons for restaurants in other cities I’ve visited and it’s worked out well.

you aren’t alone, There was one diner deal here and it was for Indian $20 voucher but only if you buy $40 in food, not a bargain really.’ groupon sucks, not good like when they started up.

    I feel the same way.

I had $10 off groupon deals from T-Mobile back in august. I bought four groupons. I tried to use them about 3 months later (before they expired). Out of the four, one place went out of business. Another demanded that we order more food for the kids (cuz the groupon was for 2), and the other 2 were OK.

Now I refunded one of the groupons, and the other one I let them give me a trade in, although I had to argue with the guy for like an hour since they were offering me the trade-in price of after the $10 off. I said who in their right mind would take groupon credit of the same price as a refund? He said that a lot of people do it, since they don’t want to wait for the refund to hit their card. I assured him that my credit limit on the CC is more than $12 and that I’ll be OK waiting for the refund. Eventually he relented and gave me $10 in Groupon Bucks in addition to the trade-in, but that was an hour I’ll never get back.
