The fast-food franchise will give away up to 1 million free Subway Series sandwiches on July 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. local time. Customers can visit a participating Subway location during the slot and get one free 6-inch sandwich in the new collection.

@sonofzeus I just started a dummy order. I selected pick up and you pay online but the regular price is $10.39 and unless they change the price for 2 hrs I expect the only way to get them free is to order instore. So the next step is to find out if locations are participating.

Checked my paper coupon stash and found offer for one 6" for $3.49.
Easy to stack with the freebie in-store.

One location near me never participates in any of Subway’s promotions and I doubt they will be participating in this one.

Only for the first 50 people at a participating Subway (between 10am - noon).

I got one at each of 3 locations. Only one person ahead of me at most. No issues at the first 2 locations. By the time I reached the 3rd store they started by saying, "FYI we are out of steak, Capicola, fresh mozzarella, avocado and ? (I forget). So I ended up with the 2nd chicken sandwich because that’s what they could make. No substitutions allowed. Took about an hour including drive time.

I didn’t know it was limited to the first 50 people. That is not how it was before IIRC. I better get going now. It is 9:53 am.

@mrvietnam at 9:45AM I called to make sure store was participating. The guy who answered the phone told me all about the promo, giving me the impression that no one had asked yet. Got there at 10:30. Since it was so easy I just drove to the next 2 stores without calling first. Make sure you start by asking “are you participating in the free sandwich offer?”.
