Rite Aid Corp. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sunday in a financial restructuring effort that included the naming of new leadership as the drug retailer faces lawsuits on accusations of contributing to the opioid crisis.

Mind you, Chapter 11 is reorganization and not liquidation.

If and when there’s a store closing list could you mention it in the post please? Otherwise I’m assuming the articles linked all say the same thing: competition, opiate law suits, crime, etc

Yes, if and when there is a closing list that is made public I would be happy to post. Maybe RA holds the list “close to the vest” though. I have yet to see such a list, but the stores, at least near me, seem to be closing like dominoes.
Rite Aid seems to be taking a page from Sears playbook when they filed for bankruptcy, and you see where that hit them.

@MrVietnam When Wags bought stores wasn’t CA relatively unaffected? Granted you’re in a highly populated, urban area but to have as many stores within a 10 mile radius seems dense (speaking of distribution not cognition, lol). There are only 5 stores left in my state so I wouldn’t be surprised if they left completely.
