Disney+/Hulu combo - $4.99/month for 12 months - Offer ends 12/1

The “annual” BF deal is live. Not quite as good as in previous years, but this is it this time. This is the basic plan with ads for both services. Valid for new accounts or previous accounts that are not recently expired. I’ve been doing this deal for years by rotating the same 2-3 emails. The offer should show on the main page of either Disnyeplus or Hulu. (Be sure to be logged out of a current account.)
I haven’t determined yet if/what cashback sites can be used with this offer. If anyone finds any, please comment.

Thanks, just cancelled last year’s subscription which expires in 2 days.
Hopefully I can use email from 2 years ago.
Don’t forget to use a cc that gives cb for streaming sites.
-
I don’t remember exactly but I’m pretty sure last year’s deal was $2.99 for both. Looks like they increased the price two dollars a month this year.
-
I received an email for a $2.99/mo Hulu only offer, but it’s only for 6 months. I rarely watch Disney, but I watch kdramas on Hulu. I guess $4.99/mo for a year is better since I don’t know if I can get another deal after 6 months on Hulu.
Yeah, it’s $2 more than last year’s deal for both, but I think Disney+ raised their normal price during the past year.

Amex Blue Cash Preferred gives 6% back on streaming services. So 30¢/month.
Amex Blue Cash says this “Benefit Details. Now, with the enhanced $84 Disney Streaming Credit, you can earn up to $7 back per month as a statement credit when you use your enrolled Blue Cash Everyday® Card to purchase a subscription, or bundle subscription, on DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com, or Plus.espn.com U.S. websites, now with no minimum purchase requirement. Subscription is subject to auto-renewal.”
My guess is that one would get 3% back with Amex Blue Cash, 15¢/month.

Why would one not receive $7 back per month as a statement credit on the bundle as is advertised? I wasn’t planning on signing up, but I think I will sign up and use my Am Ex Blue cash card as payment for the $4.99 and see if it turns out to be a $2.01 MM each month for a year. If after the first month I don’t get my $7 credit back from Am Ex I will just cancel. No big loss.
How It Works:
To receive the statement credit, the Basic Card Member must both: (i) enroll with American Express; and (ii) make a purchase eligible for the Disney Streaming Credit using a Card on their enrolled Card Account.
To enroll in the benefit with American Express, select “Enroll Now” below. Please note, it may take up to 24 hours for enrollment to take effect on your Card.
Make a purchase of a streaming subscription or a bundle subscription on DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com, or Plus.espn.com U.S. websites using your enrolled Card, or log into your existing Disney bundle account and enter your enrolled Card as the payment method for one of these streaming subscriptions. Subscription is subject to auto-renewal.
After this purchase is charged to your enrolled Card, you’ll typically receive up to a $7 statement credit in a few days, but it can take up to 6-8 weeks.

@mrvietnam it says up to $7 per month not that you’ll get $7. I presume the person who buys a big package or multiple single subscriptions will get $7. I wonder if the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, NFL Premium package which is $48.99/mo. would even qualify for the $7/mo. because 6% of that is only $3.
The Blue Cash Preferred card specifically says that one earns 6% back. That’s the same % back as for groceries. The Blue Cash Everyday earns 3% back on groceries so that’s why I suspect one would earn 3% back for Disney+.
-
I just cancelled my plan for $19.99 for no ads Disney and Hulu. I don’t watch it much!
Instead, I was offered a plan for $3 per month, for Disney and Hulu, with ads for 6 months.
I took that!

I missed the part when it said up to $7. So I will try it for a month and if I don’t get the $4.99 credit I will just cancel. It would be pretty sweet if it works and I get the Black Friday deal free for a year.
I just enrolled in the Am Ex offer and I got an e-mail that says I am enrolled, but since it says it could take up to 24 hours to activate my enrollment. I will just give it another day before signing up for the Black Friday offer just to make sure.

Peacock! They have the latest movies, from the Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, Jurassic Park Rebirth, Nobody 2, Married At First Sight, etc. I have a $2.99 per month, it ends March 2026, I think. They have Apple TV and Peacock bundle. https://www.peacocktv.com/?plan-picker-category=bundles#ib-section-section-10

Top Cash back has the following so maybe $7.50 back? I wondered if offers would appear for BF.

-
Same cb for Rakuten but Rakuten specified the premium bundle, ie no ads. So $5?

-
I signed up for this offer last night and this morning I see I have five dollars pending cash back on Rakuten. Evidently this $4.99 offer qualified me for the Disney+ Hulu bundle basic which pays five dollars, so my first month will be free, even if I don’t continue it later on. I’ll wait until the charge posts on my American Express blue every day card and then wait a few more days to see if the five dollar credit gets posted by American Express or not. If it does this deal could wind up being a year of free Disney+ and Hulu and a five dollar MM…

I took that!A better deal for six months, yes, but nothing beats the BF offer for a whole year. If you still want these services after six months, I don’t think you’re gonna find a comparable offer (until the next BF deal comes around).
-
@yoregano He wasn’t planning on signing up at all, now he might be in for 6 months 😀
I bought the 12 month subscription last BF and haven’t used it more than 4 times, if that. Maybe I’ll try 6 months this year.
-
@yoregano I called up Hulu, I asked about the Disney+/Hulu combo - $4.99/month for 12 months, the only plan they offered was 6 months for $3 per month!
