HOT if you are a first-time Walmart+ customer! MyPoints: 17,500 MyPoints wyb one year of Walmart+. Hurry! Offer is for one week only. Offer only for first-time customers of Walmart+ only, even if you just had a trial you most likely do not qualify.
-
Based on standard MyPoints redemption rates, 17,500 MyPoints is approximately equivalent to $110.00 to $115.00 in US dollars, assuming you redeem them for gift cards or PayPal cash.
Swagbucks has a similar offer except they will give you $100 cashback when you buy a Walmart plus annual membership, so you get it for free but there’s no money maker as aspect when ordering through Swagbucks.
As an added bonus, when you become a Walmart plus member you get a free whopper every three months and a discount on every online order and you also get a annual sub subscription to Paramount + streaming service services.

Great deal for sure.
In my situation, it may not work for me?
I’ve never had a Walmart+ membership before.
When I ty to join Walmart+ I see this message:
“Join today for just $1, then get your first year of membership for only $75”There doesn’t seem to be any way to skip the 30-day trial?
So if my card is charged $1 today, then charged $75 after 30 days, would that still count for this offer?

Good question. I would assume it will still work, but couldn’t offer you a definitive answer. Just read the terms and conditions on the website carefully. I know the MyPoints offer specifically excludes half price memberships in the terms snd conditions for those on government assistance or students.
Maybe someone else could chime in?

Is it actually a “trial?” T&C exclude trials:
*Points will not be awarded for Walmart+ Trial Memberships nor Walmart+ Assist Memberships or Walmart+ Student Memberships. Points will only be awarded for the initial purchase of a Walmart+ Membership and is not a reoccurring award. Terms & Conditions apply. Free delivery on $35+ orders. Restrictions apply.
I’ve had trials of Walmart+ before and so mine says, “rejoin Walmart”. I don’t like how the T&C say “initial purchase”. I think I’ll skip for now unless I see others say it works when you rejoin. Since you can’t cancel and get your money back, I don’t want to risk it. Walmart+ plus definitely isn’t worth $100 to me if I don’t get the MyPoints.
-
So I actually joined Walmart+ with the $1 today, $75 later offer.
Looking around my account, I thought maybe I could cancel Walmart+ and then rejoin, with a paid membership. But it said I would have Walmart+ for another 29 days.
Poking in the “Your Walmart+ benefits” section where it says “Give theses benefits a try” there was a curious benefit.
"Early Access to Pokémon Week"
It said “Paid members shop Pokémon merch 3 hours early, starting at 10am ET each day!” And there was a button that said “Switch to paid”.I closed the browser, went to the MyPoints portal and clicked through the “Join Walmart+ for Free Delivery on $35+ And Earn Up To 17,500 Points!” In my Walmart tab, I clicked on the “Switch to paid” button. I was offered Walmart+ for $98/year and my trial would end immediately. I agreed to the terms and clicked on “Start paid membership”.
What a roundabout way for me to get to paid Walmart+ membership. Hopefully it tracks on MyPoints!
-
I’ve had both a paid membership and a trial in the past. I’m curious, too, if the offer would work for me to sign up again.

Yes, I wonder what they consider “new”?
Swagbucks offers a “free” Walmart+ annual membership by providing $100 cash back on the $98 annual fee (as of Feb 2026), making the net cost zero or better. This offer requires a new, paid, full-price annual membership, not a trial or discounted plan, and is a one-time, non-recurring, and non-trial reward.
-
It must have been pulled I don’t see it on Mypoints or Swagbucks.

I haven’t checked MyPoints, but on Swagbucks I’m still seeing the offer. You go to shop and earn and then click on Walmart and then in the fine print you will see this offer.:
Earn $100.00 Cash Back on Walmart+ Annual Membership
-
@mrvietnam my bad, it’s only mentioned in the fine print.
-
It’s free but a slight MM, if Mypoint pays out the offer, every 160 points is equivalent to a $1 so 17500/160=109.38 On a $98 sub. I paid 98+8.70 in tax for 106.70 and with aforementioned value I will be making 2.68 before losing another .30 for a paypal redemption. So essentially it’s free after rebate, not a MM.

Do you see that your $98 transaction is tracking with MyPoints yet?

Got an email confirmation from MyPoints thanking me for my recent Walmart purchase amount of $98.
Pending Points: 17,500Thank you MrVietnam for posting this terrific deal.

Thanks. I was considering it for a $15MM but not interested for $2.68. Don’t need the membership as I rarely buy from WM, would only get it for the MM.

I don’t have a use much for Walmart plus either, but I’m getting in on the deal even though I have to pay seven dollars after the taxes charged because there are other benefits such as getting a free subscription to Paramount+ for the year and also getting a discount at Burger King and every quarter getting a free Whoppet and you get member gas prices at Sam’s Club and there are probably other benefits too. I guess each person has to weigh the benefits with the cost.
-
@mrvietnam So was this a totally new sign up for you, or did this work for you as a re-subscription after a gap? Can you give any details if pertinent.

I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but that would be a good question for Qwxy.

Have you ever signed up for Walmart+ previously using the same e-mail address or are you truly a new member of Walmart+?
-
-
I wonder if I could sign up for a new Walmart account, but then the email wouldn’t match my Mypoints email. But not sure if that matters.
-
@mrvietnam I’m a completely new member of Walmart+.
By the way, for the Walmart+ streaming benefit, you can pick between Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium.
-
Hope others have better luck with a Walmart membership than I did. Bought a one-year membership when they offered it for half price. Not once did I receive a correct order. Every time they either substituted a similar item (different scent, different flavor, etc., even though I specified “no substitutions”) or simply claimed the most basic items which they couldn’t possibly have sold out of were “out of stock”.
-
Since I have subscribed to Walmart plus in the past, I think I will not attempt to do this offer. For what it’s worth here’s what Google AI said about doing this offer if you’re not a first time customer.:
It is unlikely you can get the $100 cashback if you have had Walmart+ before. Swagbucks terms state the offer is for the “initial purchase” of an annual membership. Past members or those using trial memberships usually do not qualify for this specific, one-time promotional reward, which is designed for new subscribers.

Offer Terms: The $100 cash back (10,000 SB) is generally for the first-time annual sign-up only.
Trial/Previous Users: The offer often excludes trial memberships or returning users, requiring a brand-new account.
Requirements: You must click through the Swagbucks link and purchase the annual plan for the bonus to register.

I would definitely recommend not doing this offer now. MyPoints stated that points should show pending within a day, it’s been over a day for me with no pending points. I have been only a trial member in the past, disabled all adblockers and still nothing pending for the WM+ purchase. What fun it’s going to be to get paid by MP or convincing Walmart to refund me, when their T&C state there is no refund.
-
My recent experiences with Prodege sites (both SwagBucks and MyPoints in my case) is that something has happened in the last couple months and tracking is not as reliable as it used to be. I usually shop through TopCashBack or Retailmenot, but I sometimes use SB or MP when they have a BINGO or SWAGO board to fill in.
Anyway, stores that had been very quick to track (Home Depot primarily) that I had shopped at many, many times, have suddenly just not tracked for my last two purchases. I got credit last month after sending a support ticket, but I’m having the issue again this month and waiting to hear back from support. These are relatively low-value matters; I would be anxious, too, for something like this offer worth a lot more.

So it looks like even if you only had a trial offer that would exclude you from getting the credit from MyPoints or Swagbucks.

If anything changes and your points do finally show pending, please let us know and I will update the thread title. Different companies define “new customer” in different ways. At Sam’s Club you are a new customer after 6 months, at Costco 18 months, but it looks like at Walmart+ you are never a new customer if you were ever a customer in the past (even with just a trial membership).
-
@mrvietnam You may be right, but the first offer by WM when signing up for WM+ is always a trial, so it’s a catch 22 signing up for this offer

Yes, I hear you. It is like a Catch-22, but what Qwyx said earlier is even when you sign up and are given a free trial first, you can stop the trial and be charged right away the full price. I think Walmart is being a little sneaky about all this. It’s like they want to give an offer, but I don’t want to pay up…
I would love to do this offer and get a free year of Walmart+, but since I’m a former customer and I’ve also had a trial offer, I don’t dare.
-
@mrvietnam I hope that MP will credit me, should I need to contact help, or at worst get WM to refund me, even though their T&C state they won’t issue refunds. If I have to contact my Credit Card I am up a creek, as I used a Bank of America card, and from personal experience, they are very anti consumer.
