The Fine Print
Valid until 11/25/18-12/01/18 11:59 PM ET
Limit 1 per household/business per day
Discount applied at register
Offer valid only on Happy Lady, Happy Guy, Happy Teen, Happy Kid, Happy Bites, Happy Dining, Happy EatsIf you see a deal on the Happy gift card line, some of the best values found here are: Home Depot, Nike, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Of course the best deal is the one you can use up.
For now I;m assuming the terms are enforced and the gift cards will only work at these select merchants, not at other merchants within the category. Let me know if you find otherwise.
I don’t know if these gift cards can be resold, e.g. can I resell a Happy Guy gift card as if it’s a Home Depot gift card? Maybe someone will try this out.
These cards come in fixed value amounts as well as variable load with loads up to $500.
Terms:
This Happy Card is good at any of the brands featured on the card in the U.S. Online redemption may not be available for all merchants. For questions, balance inquiry or customer service visit happycards.com or call 855-606-3494. By using this card, you agree to the Cardholder Agreement at happycards.com. Treat this card like cash; no replacement if lost/stolen. Not reloadable; no cash redemption except as required by law. Funds do not expire; if Valid Thru date has passed, call for new card. Happy Bites Gift Card issued by MetaBank®, Member FDIC; distributed and serviced by Blackhawk Network California, Inc. Covered by Blackhawk Network Patent, blackhawknetwork.com/patent.

thanks MRV. But these can not be liquidated for MO. They are very specific in their use.

I never claimed they could be liquidated for money orders. Some people still redeem their gift cards the “old fashioned” way.

Just FYI…when you use a Happy card, you process it as a credit card – not a gift card. (I purchased the Happy Bites at Safeway and have used it at Burger King.) I assume that, when the balance gets low, the register will reject it if the balance is less than the transaction total so you’ll have to treat it like a VISA GC, i.e. first pay the difference with cash then the balance with the card.
I keep a running total of my card balance so I know how much $$ is left on it.

I suspect that if you purchased something at Home Depot with this card and then returned it that you would end up with a Home Depot Merchandise Credit/gift card. If enough time has passed they can’t void the transaction and there’s no way for them to reload the cards.

Very easy solution to this. since it is treated as a ‘Visa’ type card, simply buy a real Burger King gift card and use this for payment. I can confirm that a real BK gift card will spend down to zero if it’s a partial situation (have $2.01 on the GC and your total is $2.51, you’ll be left with an oop total of 50c after the BK GC is depleted)

I used three $100 Happy Guy cards at Home Depot a few months ago, and I’d do it again at this discount, even though checkout was less than smooth (customer service couldn’t figure out how to ring it, because it was showing as a credit card, yet wasn’t a VISA or MC, and calling the customer service number on the back of the card for assistance was only useful for verifying the balance [automated number with no possibility of reaching a live person]).
Brilliant suggestion from @MisterCheap of purchasing HD GC’s with these!

even better, these s/b able to be used online to buy items and get cashback (store pick up), or to just buy the gift card online assuming no shipping cost since it is processed as a Visa and not a GC.

Is this discount only available in-store, @MrVietnam?
I tried to buy a Happy Guy GC online, but the shopping cart still shows $150 at checkout…

@kohlspowrshopper yes, OP says “discount applied at register”

Thanks, @MisterCheap,…I wasn’t sure if that meant at a physical “register” or could include a more general “checkout”…
