Correct, referral codes and referral links are NOT allowed and should always be removed when identified. However, I do not see a referral link in the OP @briarycliffs.
@MISTERCHEAP, it is not clear to me that the code in the OP is a referral code. For example, I don’t have an account with Fetch, yet when I go to their referral information page, there is a generic signup offer that includes a code: “Use promo code FRWEB when you sign-up and you’ll get 2,000 bonus Fetch Points.” Like the code in the OP, their official code has 5-characters and is in all caps… so the code in the OP could be generic. While 2K points is only worth $2, it’s possible that the code in the OP was a generic code that was worth more/$3 because the company had just launched the receipt scanning app when this thread was first posted. Interestingly, their Fetch a Friend referral info page suggests that referral offers can pay $6 instead of $3: “Try it today and get $6 worth of free groceries! Over your first three checkouts, you will receive a total of 6,000 Fetch Points.” So why wouldn’t people post their referral code for a $6 offer to get ore takers? To me, that makes it more likely that the code in the OP is a generic site code.
Most apps use both official offer codes and member’s personal referral codes. I can’t find anything on Google that indicates or evden suggests that this is a personal referral code. Based on what I was able to find, I personally don’t feel confident in declaring the code in the OP a referral code. If definitive evidence can be found that a referral code was posted, it should be removed.

@fivetalents. My referral to fetch is JD1HR. This is somebody’s referral code and not a generic one. Also, the 3000 points is a special offer and only good a few days here and there. This special is good thru 1/30, I believe.

Thanks for the additional details. A similarity I see between your code and the one in the OP is the center character is a number (unlike the generic code). I gave my 2 cents as requested by @MISTERCHEAP… since he’s moderating this issue, he’ll make the final decision on how to handle it.
