Staples Rewards checks Delayed AGAIN (update 10/12)

As of 9/16, I haven’t received my rewards (INK RECYCLE) for August earned rewards. there’s a banner on staples rewards saying they are delayed, but wondering if anyone has actually received them yet?

Anybody having issues with September Ink Rewards? It’s showing that I have 0 recycled ink cartridges for September although I have recycled 20.

Yes, I did not receive credit for 20 ink cartridges recycled last month. Sigh, I’ll have to call them.

Well according to the other thread they don’t really expire when they expire. I actually saw some people using expired rewards as well.

Well according to the other thread they don’t really expire when they expire. I actually saw some people using expired rewards as well.
@dangeRuss I believe the post expiration thing is in store use. I’m not sure about online redemption after the expiry date.

Anyone else get $80 instead of $40 for ink recycling? I recycled for October 4 days ago but statement says the Reward is just for September. I spent it immediately. Email said You have $80.00 in new rewards to spend. Open now!

It looks like things are working better this month. I did get my Oct. rewards and ink recycling, though not at a Premier level even though my reciept and the online rewards page indicated that I still have premier status… I called, and my premier status has ended, but I will get credited for all 20 cartridges anyway, but premier status is now gone.
The CSR suggested I look into the “Plus” program (for $50/year). Would anyone like to share experiences about the Plus program?

I had the same issue on 2 accounts. Basically, the premier status (I was plus last year) runs out on a rolling 12 months basis from when you first earned it. The plus program is great and they often have discounts for it (they did until Oct 28 I believe). I don’t buy enough from staples to quality for premier these days, ever since they stopped having FAR stuff. I now mostly just use rewards + discounted GCs that I get from discover cash back.
I don’t use the discount part of it, and in fact I’ve been bitten by it a few times when the price was one thing, and after they rang it up with my account it was cheaper, so I had to find a filler. Most of the time it’s not a problem as they don’t seem to have anything useful discounted under that program.
So basically now you pay $30 + $30 + whatever you get the plus program for (<$50) + whatever the empty carts cost you, so about $110 a year to be able to get $480 in free money.

Thanks for that info. It looks like another possibility is to get the “Staples | More Account” credit card.
