Verizon will give subscribers free access to anti-robocall tools - Starting March, 2019

“Verizon will give all its subscribers free access to its spam alert and call blocking tools, so long as their phones can support the features. The carrier originally rolled out those tools over a year ago as part of its $3-per-month Call Filter add-on. But starting in March, subscribers with compatible smartphones (including iPhone and Android devices) will be able fend off unwanted robocalls without having to pay extra. Verizon says it will release more info on how to sign up for the free tools near their launch date. …”

@ctgolfer Since this offer requires a paid service plan, I’m moving this thread from Free Stuff to Deal Discussion.

  • I hope that T-Mobile jumps on this bandwagon, too…it would be so nice to be free of all the nearly-daily offers for extended auto warranties, credit card consolidation, and exciting timeshare opportunities, so that I can dedicate my phone line to more important calls, such as urgent calls from the IRS Investigation Department that give me a heads-up on how soon I’m going to be arrested for the outstanding litigation events that are pending against me… 😨 😱

…and, of course, calls from Mom and Dad… 👵🏼 👴🏼

T-Mobile does have ‘likely scam’ on the caller ID, get that a good amount.
