huh. I guess I checked Mobil website 3 days too early. No rebate when I looked on Mar.28.
I checked when I got the email from Advance Auto for their April deal: 5 qts oil & Mobil One Extended Performance filter for $35.99.
IIRC last year it was $29.99 for oil, filter and a roll of shop towels.

I don’t know if any of you use Mobil Super Motor Oil, but it’s on sale at Rural King for $10.49 for a 5 quart jug, has a $7 rebate. Pretty cheap oil, if you can use the blend. The sale and rebate was in their email today, but no mention of the rebate on their website.

Any email that you can retrieve from works. You have to confirm entry and retrieve the eGC from that email.
Oil is $22.88 at WM. Use 5@ $5 eGC. I have to pay tax in my "tax before coupon value) state but e.g. in CT no sales tax. Make sure you keep track of which eGC you use for the $2.88. It keeps working. Re-sets to $5. A lot of WM’s are running low on “green jug” 0W-20 since this has been such a hot deal. None left in Milford when my brother was there last weekend. I use a WM gc to pay the sales tax.

no one seems to be paying attention so I thought I’d tag this for you since you can use oil.
use 5 email addresses, get 5 coupons (unless they changed it the coupons say that they’re gift cards not coupons). Because they are gift cards not coupons you can use all 5 for one purchase.
I’ve been using SCO and if SCO attendant says “you can’t” I’ve pointed out where it says its a Gift Card not a coupon and they leave me alone. I’ve picked up 6 jugs so far, just paying sales tax. No rebate needed.

Thanks for the heads-up. I actually use conventional 5w-30 oil, not synthetic, for my 2008 Prius. With these deals, I guess there is no reason to stay with conventional.

yes. If you only partially use an eGC it scans for $5 the next time. If you use it for $5 then its done. I’ve tried re-using a “spent one” and it comes up already used.
I actually have one that I’ve used for the $2.88 several times-- more than $5 worth but I have it marked. So each purchase I use 4 new $5 eGC and my 1 that keeps on giving.

It will show you payment options one of which is WM gc. Select that key then swipe the eGC. Total will go down by $5. Rinse & repeat.

Why was the attendant involved? Did the cash register require attendant assistance?
I just got my first coupon. It says “Walmart Select Card”, not “gift card”.

@c3 attendant was being nosy. Attendant saw me scanning all my cards and came over to tell me I couldn’t use more than one coupon. Yes, it says Select Card and under the instructions it tells cashier to key it in as a card not as a coupon.

I have oil stacked all over the property from various Pennzoil & Mobil promotions at the moment, but this one is pretty amazing. Just sat down, filed five sweepstakes entries, and BAM. Enough “Select cards” for a free five quart jug of Mobil 1. Thanks, all!

IMO this is one of the best deals in a long time but I guess not many people can use oil. I bring mine to the dealership. They knock $20 off the price of the oil change. Learned to do that on FW. Not being posted on SD and being pretty ignored here is probably why it’s still alive. Yesterday I came across and tossed some of my oil receipts. Guess it can’t hurt to submit them.

In the early days, the value of each coupon was MULTIPLIED by the number of jugs in the transaction. You could have cleared the whole store with just 5 coupons.

F Y I and YMMV…Chose the iRCheck option, 2 banks and 1 credit union would not accept iRCheck for deposit and could not be cashed. Went to iRCheck website and have requested a paper to be mailed.
