@ma-barker thanks for the HU! I receive a $10/$50 coupon from Staples every Monday. I would have ignored this week’s email if not for your post. Exact same email subject: YOUR exclusive $10 off coupon has arrived! but last Monday the coupon was the usual $10/$50, this Monday $10/$20.
It is not tied to your Rewards card. It is transferrable. You can use it on any acct.

Staples Blue Chair 1550858 is $16.99 one-line (OOS) but Clearance price $35.50 in store. I did a PM in store and got it for $16.99. I also had a filler to get above $20. The good news is the $10 off $20 coupon on regularly priced merchandise now worked, It would not work on clearance items.

I was going to try for the $4 mouse with my $10 off $20 email coupon, but it rang up as $9 in my store(s). I wound up getting an umbrella plus filler (I tried to find something I actually needed and don’t need more paper products). And then I got another $10 off $20 coupon with my receipt, and also a $30 off $60 online/phone. Also something useless to me like % off personalized products or something.
Here’s hoping the coffee eventually drops, but with all the variable clearance prices, I don’t have a lot of hope. But thanks for the list, I can at least start watching stock at my nearby stores. So, thanks, @my4mainecoons!

Here’s the problem with Staples current pricing on Clearance: This price is very old and it’s current replacement sells for less than $115.

lots of nice back packs on clearanceeta: Found the seltzer. It was in the no man’s land at the end of the registers by the door. Only see it when you’re checking out. Held up the line while I grabbed 10. No bottle deposit where I bought them but hoping the cans are marked for deposit in my state.

Cans are marked for deposit so returnable even though one may not have spent the nickle.
50¢ an 8 pack - 40¢ in bottle return makes them 10¢ an 8 pack.

@597404 Just picked up 40 seltzer, 20 at a time and used $10/$20 email q.
Paid w/ Staples gc so not getting 5% back on Chase Ink but will get back 5% Rewards. After bottle/can deposit and Rewards probably $0.09 per 8 pack or a penny each. I drink 2-3 seltzer a day, usually Polar.

Hear Ye Hear Ye!
A store directive came down from corporate that all Clearance items that have a current retail of $3 or less are to be massively marked down. I found numerous item hand marked down as low as a dime (nothing was marked over 50 cents). I bought 30 items and my total cost before tax was under $7. If you are willing to purchase a whole stack of something, you should be able to bargain with the managers.
