Thanks.
I just recently added a smart garage opener… might be time to get $30. Although I dunno if I want to let some random Amazon delivery guy into my garage. He might steal all my toilet paper and sanitizer.
-
@dangeruss I hadn’t thought about him stealing my toilet paper. I’d better think about using this service a little longer.

I was only half kidding about that. But I’m not sure I want someone who might have COVID touching unknown surfaces in my garage right now.

Nothing prevents you/someone from being present. Just ask them to unlock/open the garage and place the package down outside of the garage without entering. Spend your $30 credit, then change password, delete app, and/or uninstall kit.

So I set this up a few days ago and had an amazon delivery coming today. They just left it outside my front door. Is there something I need to enable?
-
@dangeruss On delivery day, you will receive a notification in the morning with a 4-hour delivery window. Right before the driver arrives at your garage door, you will receive an “Arriving Now” notification. The driver then requests to open your garage with their Amazon hand-held scanner. Amazon verifies that the package belongs to the address and that the driver is near the garage door before opening your garage door. The driver will place the package just inside your garage, out of your driving path, and request to close the door. Once the delivery is complete and your garage door is closed, you will receive a final notification. The driver will always make sure your garage door is closed and secure before leaving the premises. No access codes or keys are given to the driver.
If you have a problem with any of these, contact them - https://www.amazon.com/ap/signin?tag=phtwllt-20?

@mrsguin On yesterdays delivery none of those things happened.
-
@dangeruss I would contact them.
-
@mrsguin Thanks, I did. Turned out I had my address in there multiple time, and once I deleted it, I had to set it in amazon key again. Now I’m seeing options for in garage delivery.
