  • Good morning every body the posts for today Friday December 1st YES it’s a new month !!!
    Everyone needs to pay attention when I logged on very early this morning 2:45AM !! There was a large notice from the BEE ABOUT BUZZ POINTS BEING CHANGED SO MAKE SURYOU READ IT VERY CAREFULLY THE POINTS ARE GOING TO CHANGE AND THE PRIZES !!! I for one don’t see why they are lowering the point value because unless all of you are being very quiet about winning no one is winning anything unless it’s just movie tickets and you can’t get into them anyway they give out too many from too many locations.
    This morning the BUZZ WORD POINTS WERE ONLY 200pts. Not a 1K. And the Ticket BUZZ WORD WAS ONLY WORTH 1000 pts. Not 10K !!! And they are saying that they are going to have more local prizes and stuff well the first thing was Kings tics I don’t care about basketball, and after the Sonoma people found out more Bee employees took the tickets than the Bee gave too the contestants they stopped offering them I found that out by becoming friends with the people at the track that is why they did not offer NASCAR RACE TICKETS FOR THE LAST RACE !!! So we will see if we win more.

    Today I tried to get into the “New Site” but because the account is in my husband’s name, my email and password wouldn’t work. So, I used his and the new site is awful in my opinion. As we do not live locally, the prizes they will offer won’t be available to us. Also, under games, all I could find was the Bee games - no Scratchers or Slot Machine. Therefore, we will be canceling our subscription. If anyone else has a different view, please let me know. Thank you.

    • WATCH OUR VIDEOS – clicking this button opens a new tab – points were credited after ad completes and the actual content begins playing – clicking for more on the video tab didn’t earn any points – closed tab, clicked ‘watch out videos’ button again, let the ad play and content begin, and another 500 points got credited – repeated until reached 2,500 max for the day (and nicely there was a message saying “thank you for watching, you’ve reached the max today” (and I think you can start the first one, return to the SBR tab and click the button to open a second video tab, and so on, so that all 5 will run pretty much concurrently)
    • Reader Quest – GM, Fiona, and Muslims are the answers. Nice that the section and page numbers were provided-- hopefully in the future they’ll also provide the dates!! All of the answers were from yesterday’s paper (11/30). I did word searches in the e-edition archives in order to find the answers.

    Tomorrow, depending on how much time I have and whether anybody is even interested, I can make a (shorter) list of what isn’t working. My first wish is that the tasks I complete would fall off the “get points” page or at least move to the bottom of the list. Slow response time is another issue.

    Overall, I agree with @karinjel’s assessment. In my opinion, the new rewards site is cumbersome and was not ready to go live. As of this writing, if the Bee is dropping Triton trivia, I will participate only until BBP goes away at the end of the year. Sure, the chances of winning the larger national prizes are slim, but at least we have a chance at them. If BBP goes away entirely and is replaced by the new Sacbee Rewards site, it doesn’t seem we’ll have any chance at those national contests at all. This change may become a factor in whether my family decides to renew our print subscription.

    Just noticed that Bee’s new program moved only November earned BuzzPoints over as legacy…to the new program…does that mean
    we must spend our other 5 months totals before Dec 31 or they will be gone???

    I agree, I gave up my print subscription to the Bee some time ago because they could not guarantee delivery, they stuck it in a tube at the end of the road, and unless we went out early, the paper was often gone. Never saw any advantage to paying for news that is available free, and the prizes are never so great I would pay just to earn points for a chance to win them. Was nice while it lasted!

    @kateivan, I agree with what you and others have stated. The new program is a complete mess. If nothing changes, I will depart at the end of the month too. Thank you so much for exploring the new site and sharing your wisdom of what works and what doesn’t. A sad and disappointing change to a program that has been a lot of fun.

    I’m sorry to hear what’s happened to your program. I’ve been enjoying seeing how much you all enjoy it and help each other out. I hope that the new program will be worthwhile or they respond to user feedback (including lack of participation) and restore or provide worthwhile rewards.

    Whatever happens, I truly hope that you all will continue to participate on this site. There are tons of other opportunities in the CSG forum, including contests, sweepstakes, and other rewards programs. If you haven’t already, you should really also check out the Deals forum for the many freebies and hot deals!

    has anyone tried to use points to get movie passes? or some other prizes [some work most do not] after waiting over 15 minutes while it was processing it NEVER did plus looks like we will have to redeem each time no way to put it more than once
    also looks like my points are not the same as on other site
    hope someone figures out how to get online with them withOUT having to pay for the paper my grandkids play on their own accounts and so does husband hate to think we will have to pay for each one to get to play[use]

  • Good morning every body I posted a new list not really sure if we will be using it if the BEE is going to be giving us questions this next week or not a lot of this is very confusing to me one message says they will be doing questions until the end of the year the next said this week was it does someone have the correct answer I have two darn subscription to their useless Newspaper at my two addresses and and we can only get one of our e-mails logged into this new program so as far as I’m concerned this sucks as bad as the stupid paper because since they went online we only get half of a hard copy of the the Newspaper and pay twice as much !!! My mom is 85 years old and does not get on line so all of the stuff that they put on line she misses out on unless I have the time to read it to her and at over $256. A year for what THE BEE wants to call a newspaper these days they are ripping off senior citizens and the rest of the public and they are getting rich doing it and the outrageous prices they charge for advertising I am surprised and company puts an ad in this paper anymore, and now something that the readers did enjoy doing from the paper they say that they are listening to us that is a bunch of hogwash who the heck told them to mess this up they did not ask any of us as I recall !!!
    Did any of you get a invite to change the BUZZ POINTS PROGRAM or help change it because I have been a member for 9 years plus and no one ask my input am I mad there are other words for what I am.
    We will see what the bee does. I wish you all luck let’s hope it at least lasts until the end of December because it has been a lot of fun having a great group of friends and I have really enjoyed doing the list for everyone daily !!!
