I’ll try to make time to check out today’s offerings on the new site and update this post with answers for any new questions.
I really appreciate PhatWallet having provided a new home for our FW activities. The admin peeps have been nothing but welcoming and eager to make updates to accommodate our needs and generally improve the site. I wish the same could be said of the Bee. My family has subscribed to the print edition since moving to the area in 1979. Reliability of delivery, response to customer services inquiries, and quality of the product all have declined markedly in recent years, while the price has increased. A customer service rep once laughed at me for insisting that a missed delivery be redelivered the next day … “Ha ha! Don’t you know you can read it online?” … Yes, of course, but my 84-year-old father demands to read a hard copy while he eats breakfast. And your product makes great wrapping paper and firestarter, lol.

@fivetalents , many thanks to PhatWallet for providing a welcoming place for our group. It’s been enjoyable and FUN and the support from the moderators has been amazing. I’ll be exploring the other opportunities here even if I don’t continue with SacBee Rewards.
In general the new program seems awkward, it feels like I’m running in circles and the prizes are underwhelming. So far I haven’t seen anything on the new site that would entice me to continue but we’ll see if anything changes before the end of the month.
Echoing what @kateivan and @taurus742 said - my newspaper is important to me. My job requires me to be in front of a computer for most of my work day and sitting down with The Bee is something I look forward to. I feel like a dinosaur because I prefer to read a hard copy rather than spend more time in front of a screen! The rising cost and declining content are frustrating though.
I’m only speculating but the Bee probably weighed the value of the BBP program against the expense. You only have to read the business news to know that all print media are struggling financially due to competition from online news sources, so they need the most bang for their buck. The personnel costs alone to maintain the BBP program must be significant and with so many BBP users/players not subscribing to The Bee, there’s less income to offset the cost of the program. They may have judged it to be an expense they can no longer justify. Business decisions can be unpopular but their first duty is to the shareholders. This one is disappointing for sure!

Funny, the 500 point Thank You award only gives 495 points. The answer for that is Covfefe. Try it. Soooooo we go from the opportunity of earning 100K+ points to day to approximately 10K or less. Hmmmmm, less point opportunities as well. I will give it a week or so to see how it works. I have noticed we are still able to watch videos and earn points on the old site, but I think you will need to spend them as well. Please correct me if I am wrong. I also noticed another price increase in the print subscription. We also spend all day in front of a computer screen, and the hubs enjoys reading a hard copy of the paper along with his morning coffee. I enjoy doing the crosswords in the evening. Been a ritual for many years. Gonna miss those 25K pointers and the monthly EzPay bonuses.

Good morning every body the posts for today Sunday December 3rd are above I moved the list over to the new page so we did not have to keep changing pages 🤗🐿 I want to apologize for my rant yesterday yes I am upset with The Sacramento BEE because they go to places like the Golden One, Kings, Sonoma Raceway, Best Buy, and all the other organizations that they get prizes from and have them donated or give them a discount on advertising in exchange for the prizes it’s not very often the prizes come directly out of their pockets even the Big trips from Triton National that several syndications get into the contest like this $4,000. Home for the Holidays one we have now it’s donated too !!! 🤗 that money is not coming out of the BEE’s pocket, the only ones that do are the times when the BEE GIVES AWAY CASH THAT WE GO PICK UP AT THEIR OFFICE and most of the time they are doing it with some other Company never by the Bee alone !! So please except my apology 🤗🐩🐾
We need the 2 ONTV GUIDE WORDS, IF THEY POST THEM, who knows with the new system I didn’t see a Fun and Games yesterday did anyone else. !!!

On the new SacBee Rewards site, does anyone know what the 1000 point MONTHLY code word is supposed to be? It says it’s updated the 1st of each month but I’m not clear if there was one for December.

looks like anything done here with buzzpoints will NOT be credited to new site sacbee rewards
also if you don’t have a paid subscription for the email account you are using you are NOT able to redeem points for movies and most other things on new rewards site.after the 2 week free trial
we [grandkids, foster kids, neighbor hood kids who can’t afford internet ] were using this at my house as a way to earn points for movies
had to tell them sacramento bee stopped it and I am unable to pay subscription price for each of them as every email needs account, most knew something was wrong [they are smart just poor] hopefully something else comes up

I’m not sure if we need the Facebook, Facebook 10K, Twitter, Twitter 10K, and both Daily Videos, after checking out the new site for the first time but I will tell you all this for as long as I can I will answer my questions on the old site they say it will be available until the end of the month for some stuff and I did notice my points get posted right away and at full value on the old site also I think I will use as many of my points trying to get the iPad that they are giving away at the end of December since mine is old 🤗🐉🎍

On the 21st of Dec. I am having Hip replacement and I don’t know if I will be feeling up to doing the posting after my surgery or how long I will be in the hospital I do know I will be there a few days but Kaiser likes to throw people out as fast as they can now a days , and with the BP changes to our time together but I have enjoyed doing the list for everyone it has been a pleasure, thank you for letting me be part of your group. 🐩🐾🎗🍁🤗🐉🐿🐢🐘🎍🍃🌻🐒🐞🍀🐭🐝

New SacBee Rewards program . As I understand this change I will need in the future to have first purchased a subscription ( digital access) for $12.99/mth…or buy a annual subscription for only $129.99 . Kind of rich for me…so I just wanted to say to all the old members (Fatwallet) and now to this new startup …thanks for all updates…it was nice to know you and I hope in the future you all win prizes and not the SacBee staff. What a shame that they disrupted everything with a new (& awful) website. I will only be a member through March as we are letting our subscription go.
Goodbye toooldtooslow - you will certainly be missed.
The main reason we are dropping is that I am the only one who wanted the subscription and it was because of the Kings and Beebuzzpoints. I can get my basketball news online, so as of March - adios!

Good morning every body the posts for today Tuesday December 5th are above on the old page the only points I can get are for the trivia questions and I I feel I’m wasting my time with the rest of the buzz rewards so I am going to dump my points on a couple prizes that I want and I am also done like many others it’s been great but I have too much to get ready for with my up-coming surgery and all !!!
I will miss all of you and it’s been so much fun.I will finish out this week and if I am awake I will post the answers to the trivia but I won’t be doing any headlines after this week because I don’t think the headlines are being used now.

Stopped my daily subscription ( after 50 yrs)…had more to do with not being home. Got an offer for just Sunday only delivery and daily digital access… for $5 …for the whole darn year??? This went to the BEE today.
The new Rewards Program site is a joke. Not user friendly at all. I have been attempting to access the site for 45 min, all I get is a blank screen or nothing.
Yesterday when I was in the site, it was very slow, very slow. The new site is very slow period.
Not a good product for the BEE to get readers.
A lot of long time readers, users and LOYALTY CLUB members are ready to QUIT the BEE.

@taurus742 , I believe you’re right. The Read & Win, Bonus Codes and Daily Videos 1 & 2 are gone for good from BeeBuzzPoints. Everything that was contributed by The Bee has been transferred to the new program (in an awkward, weird sort of way). After re-reading the information on the changes, it looks to me like the only thing remaining on BBP will be the national trivia questions, and only until the end of the year. On the bright side, you’ll have a lot more time on your hands without looking up the answers for us each day.
Good luck on your upcoming surgery and recovery.Evidently we can continue to accumulate points each day on the “old” program for trivia and videos, plus anything available on the mobile site. We just need to remember to spend our points by the end of the month because I think after that, everything BeeBuzzPoints will be gone. Thanks to everyone who’s contributed so much to our group. It’s been fun! I’ll be sticking around for awhile to see if things improve on the new site, but will surely miss everyone who has decided to move on and those who cannot join the new program.

This evening, I finished up on my BeeBuzz trivia questions and video. In the mobile site, I was able to gain 14,000 points by adding 3 dashes (—) to this site below. These were the Read & Win trivias. I confirmed my points when I looked at Activity History in My Account. At least for a few more weeks, points earned can be used for an attempt at winning prizes.

Good morning every body the trivia answers for today Wednesday December 6th are above I tried real hard to get it all done early I know I will be tied up at Kaiser today my poor mom fell the other day and cracked her pelvis bone and tore the tendon in her RT. Knee just what she did not need to do at her age and today is her 85th birthday I told her that’s not what she was suppose to give herself for a birthday present !!! It should have been something fun or expensive at 85 not a messed up body.
I have not been doing anything with the New BEE BUZZ SITE because it is too slow and way too confusing for me !!!
They had a good thing I don’t know why or who talked them into changing it but I really think we need to converge on them and insist on them putting things back to the way it was, in my book they could have bettered the prizes and points but left everything else alone !!!Everyone have a wonderful day and keep warm enjoy the weather 🌞🌤🐩🐾🎗🍁

Cumbersome and confusing and not the improvement they claim “we” wanted.
< this is clearly not what I wanted>To be clear on a couple of concerns I had, I asked SacBee Rewards a few questions and confirmed that:
- There is no purchase necessary to use and participate in the new Rewards program
To start using, “you” will be given a two-week, no-strings-attached digital subscription to the Sacramento Bee and be entered into the SacBee Rewards program. No credit card information is taken. At the end of two weeks, if you choose not to subscribe, your digital account goes away, but your
free access to SacBee Rewards continues. (you will be limited in the number of monthly online articles you may read on other Sacbee.com digital platforms.) - To enter a contest one must press the Submit button multiple times.
A slow, one at time, process that resets after each entry! - There is no specific web address for mobile users.
The new site recognizes the device you are utilizing to view the site, and configures accordingly.
This may already be common knowledge, but just wanted to share

What do you all think about continuing our activities with a different media outlet that still participates in Triton trivia? The main moderator of the national trivia thread on Fatwallet started a Facebook group shortly after the FW shutdown was announced. A member of that group recently lamented the discontinuation of Triton trivia by the last of his local media outlets. The former FW moderator suggested that he sign up with a radio station that still does offer the trivia! She said that the one she uses is not in her state, but they don’t care where she lives. I suppose as long as a person has an account with only ONE of those other stations (not trying to have 50 different accounts in order to gain more points and thus more entries) and forgets about any local prizes, this could be a way for us to continue our activities. Anyone interested in giving it a shot? I signed up at http://club.b95.com/main.aspx (mobile = http://club.b95.com/m/MobileLogin.aspx) and have earned some points already (just to test it out). Or were most of you playing for movie passes and other local prizes?

Thank you so much! I’m not sure what we should do. Our newspaper is dropping Triton trivia as of 12/31 and has created its own separate rewards program. Some of us on this thread would like to continue our community. So it might become a blend of the national Triton/ClearChannel stuff (which users would earn through a different media outlet still using that trivia program) and info relating to our local newspaper’s rewards program. Or maybe we could post only the SacBee Rewards stuff on this thread, and have a link in the OP to the thread where the national stuff is discussed, with a link to at least one media outlet still offering the Triton/ClearChannel program. We probably at least should change the name to “Sacramento Bee Loyalty Club (SacBee Rewards fka BeeBuzzPoints)” (I haven’t checked to see whether that’s something I can do myself).

On the new site, does anyone get the correct number of points for watching videos and reading articles. I watch and read more than the max and am lucky if I get points for 1 or 2.
