    @mistercheap I have the items I purchased for the Caregiver rebate. I did Control F for the UPC on the Smart Start list.



  • I submitted two receipts and both got rejected with the reason “unable to identify a qualifying purchase based on the image that you submitted.” Receipt images are sharp and each of them shows UPC codes matching items on the participating products list (https://www2.activaterewards.com/startsmart/participating_products). Did two other J&J rebate offers in 2020 without any issues. Anyone having any of their submissions rejected for the current offer?

    Fandango is having problems. IDK if someone bought them and is driving them into the ground or they had a software update but everything is being denied.

    I’ve submitted 11 receipts since Dec. 28. 1 was approved. The other 10 required contacting Fandango. 5 have since been paid.
    Still waiting on 5 more. Not surprisingly their CS is back logged. I’ve received the same email you received.

    Once I replied “I don’t understand why this was denied. I purchased items on the Participating Products list.” It took a while but the reply said “we reviewed your submission” etc. and included a link to the g.c.

    Other times I replied with “Here are the UPC and descriptions of the items I purchased as found on the list of the Participating Products”. Waiting for 5 of those to be reviewed. They were submitted 1 and 2 weeks ago.

    A few days after you submit your appeal you’ll receive “Recently we have experienced a significantly higher call volume than usual. Due to this tremendous response in customer contacts, we have been unable to get to your email sooner. We have forwarded your email to the appropriate department for further review and follow up, and will contact you again by email once we have more information regarding your request.”

    A few days after that you should receive the email saying your submission has been reviewed with a link to the gc.

    Just submitted 2 more receipts today. Expecting to receive the “no qualifying purchase” email in 1-2 days, resubmitting, then another few days to get the “email forwarded” email and another few days before receiving the gc link.

    Submitted 2 receipts last night. This AM received a denial. Just sent off an appeal. Thinking of sending off an appeal for 2nd receipt before even receiving the denial.
