I got this on my Hilton Honors Am Ex card.
Looks like it may only be for Hilton Honors card members.Details
Enroll in this offer to earn a $5 statement credit each month you spend $5 or more on eligible U.S. restaurant purchases with your Card. Whether it’s dine-in, takeout or delivery, you can redeem this offer each month through December 2021. This is in addition to the Points you already earn with your Card. Terms Apply.
Offer Terms
You must first enroll in the offer by adding the offer to your Card. Only purchases made with your enrolled Card are eligible. Offer to enroll is available to existing Hilton Honors American Express Card Members who are Basic Card Members prior to January 1, 2021. Limit of 1 enrolled Card per Card Member. You are eligible to enroll starting from February 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021. Offer ends December 31, 2021. Eligible purchases can be made by the Basic Card Member only. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Starting from the time you enroll through December 31, 2021 (“Purchase Period”), you will earn one $5 statement credit each month after spending $5 or more in combined eligible purchases on your Hilton Honors American Express Card at US restaurants (including takeout and third party delivery services) per month, during the Purchase Period, up to a total of $55 in statement credits. You may not earn a statement credit for purchases at a restaurant located within another establishment (e.g. a restaurant located inside a hotel, casino, or event venue). For example, purchases made at a restaurant located within a hotel may be recognized as a purchase at a hotel, not a restaurant. You also will not earn the statement credits for purchases at bars, nightclubs, cafeterias, and convenience stores. Eligible purchases are purchases for goods and services minus returns and other credits. Eligible purchases do NOT include fees or interest charges, cash advances, purchases of traveler’s checks, purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, purchases of gift cards, person–to–person payments, or purchases of other cash equivalents. Additional terms and restrictions apply. Merchants are assigned codes based on what they primarily sell. A purchase will not be eligible if the merchant’s code is not eligible. Purchases made through a third-party payment account or on an online marketplace (with multiple retailers) will not be eligible. A purchase may not be eligible if the merchant submits the purchase using a mobile or wireless card reader or if you use a mobile or digital wallet. Please allow 8-12 weeks after an eligible purchase is charged to your Card Account for statement credit(s) to be posted to the Account. Please call the number on the back of the Card if statement credits have not posted after 12 weeks from the date of purchase. To be eligible for this offer, Card Account(s) must not be canceled and not past due at the time of statement credit fulfillment. American Express reserves the right to modify or revoke offer at any time. If American Express in our sole discretion determines that you have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with the promotional offer in any way or that you intend to do so, we reserve the right to withhold or revoke statement credits from your Card account. American Express may also cancel this Card account and other Card accounts you may have with us. This offer is not transferrable. POID: K1LW:0001

There is another offer for those who are big spenders on your Hilton Honors Am Ex cards:
Earn 10,000 Bonus Points each time you spend $5,000, up to 100,000 Points
Hilton Honors Score More Points
Expires
06/30/2021It will come in handy for me as my Mom will be having some major dental expenditures in the coming weeks, so I can get these Hilton Honors bonus points on top of my regular Honors points I would earn on the transactions.
-
If I remember correctly 30,000 pts = 1 night hotel stay at a decent property.
If that has a retail value of $120, then $5000 spend = $40 hotel credit or < 1% reward per $1 spent. It seems a citi double cash card could do better or are my point conversions bad?
-
I forgot to thank you. I have the dining offer too on my card!

I will be using the card to pay my insurance and taxes. With the additional points, it is worth paying 1.87% for the taxes. Plus all this adds to my yearly requirement for the free weekend certificate.

Hilton points shine when you bank them and use them at a good point conversion ratio. The point conversion is better at European properties. Not only that, I try to use them on a five night stay - the 5th night is free. We travel with my adult son and normally the 3rd person will cost at least $50 night - but a lot of times, the point rate is the same as for two people. Hilton is better in this regard than IHG and Marriott. And if you have the fee Hilton Amex card, you have at least a gold status that still works with the free night. Had some amazing experiences with Hilton.
Note - if you have a fee card, then per month credit is more than $5 - in my case it is $10 - will pay for the annual fee.

Please post if you receive an instant notification that the $5 bonus has applied just like the small business promotion they did back in August on select AMEX accounts. Sometimes I go to tea shops or bakeries and have a hard time trying to figure out if these qualify as restaurant purchases.

My transaction posted immediately.

Does anyone know how charitable donations post on AMEX? I am wondering if they will be classified a purchase or something else.

I got an instant congratulations e-mail, but it has been 3 days now and my $5 credit still hasn’t posted. I bought $6 worth of dollar burritos from the Taco Bell drive-thru.

Is the 5th night free benefit only for the fee card? I don’t suppose it applies to the regular hilton card? It’s a pity that i had the no fee card for over 20 years but never redeemed any points and then one day i found out the points were all gone (expired). I know it was my own fault to oversight.

I thought even if you had a no fee card your Hilton points will not expire as long as you use the no fee card. Any point activity (earning points or spending points) will keep the Hilton points from expiring. I don’t know how you lost all your points as long as you were earning still?

@mrvietnam back then I wasn’t paying attention to this (with moving and changing job from frequently travel to no travel at all) so forgot to use the card for 12 months obviously. When I realized it (about15 months later) they told me I could buy the points back at 50% off, half penny per point. I was not going to pay that price so I have up.
Anyway, does anyone know the answer to my question “is the 5th night free apply to the no fee hilton card?”. Thanks in advance.

With no fee card, you get silver elite status and that will also get you the 5th night free booked with points.
