Jus this passed week one location asked for an ID and another did not.
The new policy change I am referring is stores now requiring to show ID when redeeming points.

So when you drop off cartridges to recycle, they won’t ask for an ID, right? It’s just when you redeem that they’ll ask for the ID?

right, i dropped off carts in the am, and you may have to deal with someone who doesn’t know whats going on, but no id.
i went back later to redeem some points, and they did ask to see me id.on the one account, i am plus. i dropped off 30 carts in one shot. employee tells me they only take 20. i said there is a bonus 10. she asks, “is that on the app”?

@ohsheet I recycle 40 in one shot (10 bonus + 30 regular). “My store” doesn’t say anything but I’ve been told only 20 at other stores. I educate them. One can recycle as many as one wants but will only receive Rewards for some of them. Then I show them my offers on the website.
I can’t believe that I’m paying for paper but it’s $34.99 for 10 reams today. Will use a $10/$30 to make it $24.99. Might as well start using up the Qs that expire 12-31-24.

It looks like this time around the new cartridge recycling offer ends 2/1/25 and the battery recycling offer ends 1/25/25.

You might as well recycle a single alkaline battery while you’re there and get an extra $2.50 in rewards money.
if you’re looking for something to use your rewards money on, Staples has their store brand case water (24 count) on sale up until a week from this Saturday for $2.99 a case. Even though the $10 off $30 purchase coupon isn’t printing anymore for recycling, to get case water at Staples for three dollars a case to me is a very good deal, especially since you got the rewards money for nothing except for the price of the empty cartridges, so the water is pretty much free.

I recycle & redeem on a friend’s account (JD). I did a kiosk order for pick up at the store since I can’t ship to her and I don’t want to possibly link her account to my address. I went to pick up the items at the store tonight. Relatively new cashier asked me for i.d. to prove that I was JD. I said, “but I’m not”. He said, “well then never mind” and gave me the items. I said that it was the first time that I’d ever been asked for i.d. He said it was because the pick up screen told him to ask for it. He said that he’d seen me place the order so he knew it was ok.
After completing the pick up I recycled a battery & 10 carts on JD’s account then my 40 & a battery for my account.
