I tried it more than once, and it let me do TWO (2) per credit card on my account, this was yesterday so not sure if they might have changed it or it might still work that way.

gonna give a tip, when redbox releases general codes, you CAN use it up to 5 times! you just have to do 5 orders of 1 selection each.

@frugalfreak That used to be the case, for this new one, must people have said 2 is the limit per account. I haven’t heard any one said more than that.

It’s TWO (2) GAMES per credit card, and FIVE (5) MOVIE rentals per credit card, and actually there’s a caveat to that, if you register a NEW credit card, the limit is THREE (3) MOVIE rentals until you use the card to pickup a rental at the kiosk, then it changes to FIVE (5) MOVIE rentals for the new card.

For a new chat dialog with someone you’ve never chatted with before:

Double click on the avatar of the person you want to chat. Click on the 3 vertical white dots inside the blue circle to the right. Click “start new chat with _____.” This adds that person to your chat contacts list. Click on their contact and a start typing. Or…

Click on the thought bubble at the top right of every page. That pulls up your chat contacts list. Click “see all chats” and type the username you want to add to your contacts list. Click on their contact and a start typing.
To resume a chat

Click on the thought bubble at the top right of every page. That pulls up your chat contacts list. Scroll down to the member you want to chat with to open a chat popup window or chose “see all chats” to open up a full-screen chat window. Click on the member’s name whom you wish to resume a chat session with.

If you’ve recently been chatting with someone or you have an unread chat from someone, their avatar will appear in a little circle at the bottom right of your PC screen. Just click on it to resume you chat with them.

Is there any way to make the chats pop out in a separate window?

@mulox I believe that unless you actually choose the “see all chats” option, all of the other options open in a little pop out window. If you are in full screen view, try going up to the chat bubble icon on the top of the screen. Of you click on any of your contacts there, it will open a chat dialogue in a pop out window.
I also forgot to mention that if you want to create a group chat, click on the settings gear icon. Then enter the names of everyone you want to be in that group.

There is also an option in Settings, for “paging” the posts, which I believe was OFF by default. I changed mine from the default of 20 to 50 posts.

50You used to have to turn pagination on manually, but @dangeRuss changed it to the default setting instead of infiniscroll. If you are still having to enable pagination manually since September 30th, please let know as that should not be the case. Thank you.

That’s my fault @MrsGuin. All of your text was running vertically, about 2 characters wide, taking up about 2 PC screens to scroll past. So, I pasted it into a plain text document and re-pasted into your post. It still has weird characters in it (I think… I really don’t do RedBox codes anymore) that I was hesitant to mess with, but at least your text is running horizontally now.

Thanks in advance.The default showed about 1.3 lines until Russ changed it to 3 lines a couple of days ago. Everyone should automatically have 3 lines in chat now. What skin are you using?

I can’t find it now, but I was on some other page doing a chat and even though there was tons of available room, I had the “mail slot” to type into. This was not a pop-over dialog page, but just a flat page that I was chatting on. Unfortunately, I can’t find it now.

Ah, I found a previous post by mulox that got me on the right track. In the “See All Chats”, the box to chat is still just over 1 line tall. There is plenty of room on this page for a proper text entry box.

Thanks for the details and I’m glad it’s working for you now. The default text entry feild for both the full screen chat and the pop up chat window were set to 3 lines. The tech resolution to yesterday’s site slown down may have reset everything, enabling you to correctly see 3 lines now.
If you encounter any chat sessions with only 1 line again, please create a new help request thread in the support forum so that we can address this officially with admin and the developers, and keep this thread in topic.
