IBOTTA FREEBIES: Edwards Pie $5.69 fixed at WMT, McCormick Brown Gravy $1.29 fixed (many stores), La Colombe Cold Brew 42oz, $5.49 fixed at TARGET ONLY

check your IB for offers, the Gravy is a MM at many stores, on sale for $1 at some.
-
I referred a “friend” who immediately submitted a small IB offer and we both got the free turkey offer in the app. (fixed $13.xx back)
Paid $10.50 at WM and got the rebate within 15 minutes.

@sonofzeus I did that one year so my friend would get a turkey. A few years later my account was frozen. Their system said that I had more than one account. I’d used a different device and think that I used a different ip address but can’t be certain.
I referred someone and she never made a purchase. I suppose that I could buy the gravy mix and have her submit the receipt. Thing is, I don’t really want a turkey…

@my4mainecoons This morning I dissected the bird. Smoked the breast over charcoal and the rest was cooked in the stock pot for freezable broth and Tetrazzini meat. Whipping inflation one bird at a time.
-
@sonofzeus I used to get the ibotta turkey for the challenge of getting it for free. Then I’d regret having it every time I needed freezer space. I’ve tried giving the meat (roasted) to the cats and they don’t like it any more than I do. Finally realized that I don’t have to get it just because it’s free.
-
@my4mainecoons My “friend” shunned the free turkey for lack of freezer space. I would shun any freebie involving brussel sprouts, Lima beans, or split pea soup.
-
@sonofzeus IDK if it’s still the case but the freebie used to be for a whole bird or for a breast, the latter being easier to store. That’s what my friend wanted.
I buy much more meat for the cats (~5 lbs chicken/wk) than for me (few times/year).

$5 Costco rotisserie chicken (or any rotisserie chicken) is better than turkey. The turkey never gets completely eaten, even in large gatherings.
Maybe it’s time to let the old ways die
Maybe it’s time to let the old ways die
It takes a lot to change a man
Hell, it takes a lot to try
Maybe it’s time to let the old ways die

@ctujackbauer One of the advantages Amerikans enjoy is freedom of dietary choices. Some folks on this planet can only survive on creepy things that crawl in the fields, swim in the swamps, or dance among the weeds.

Maybe it’s time to let the old ways dieWe eat the whole turkey – nothing goes to waste. Eat leftover turkey for two days. Remaining leftover meat gets foodsaver-ed then frozen. Boil the carcass to make broth. Use broth to make soup and a rice porridge. (Use frozen turkey to make things like Turkey Tetrazzini through out the year.)
We do the same with a Costco chicken, but turkey is once a year.

The pies are actually pretty good. I picked up two a few days ago (2 accounts).

I found myself having the “turkey discussion” with myself, i.e. just because it’s free that doesn’t mean that I have to get it. I’d have made a special trip for pumpkin, apple or pecan pie but have no interest in turtle or strawberry creme.

Edwards Pie is oos, check back on Monday for a new offer.
I didn’t know to check on Mondays.
-
There is also a free after rebate offer on an Ensure Max 42g protein shake (it pays a set $3.98). It must be bought at Walmart. What makes this offer especially appealing is in the Walmart app there is an offer from the manufacturer to get $3.98 in Walmart cash when you buy this shake, so it turns out to be not only free, but a $3.98 MM after Ibotta and Walmart cash.
-
@mrvietnam Can’t get WM Cash and iBotta, can only get one. It’s in the T&C.

OK, fair enough, but if you can’t combine them, at least you can get one more for free.
