Amex Offer: Spend $25 or more, get $5 back at Staples - YMMV

Get a one-time $5 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $25 or more in-store at Staples by 8/31/2018.

Amazing. I got this offer on all 4 of my Am Ex cards. Now what to buy in the no rebate era. I guess it means 20% off a $25 gift card of my choice at Staples now through the end of the month.
EDIT: I guess the trick of opening different tabs and saving the offer on all of your cards doesn’t work anymore. I had the offer on all of my cards and tried to do the multiple tab trick to save it to all 4 cards, but it only saved to one. How long has the multiple tab trick stopped working?Any workaround for this for future offers? If not, perhaps it is time to start closing some of my Am Ex cards. I got a lot of Am Ex cards to get multiple offers when good offers came around, but if there is no way to do that anymore I don’t see the point in keeping so many Am Ex cards.
I noticed that it has different T&C. Most offers say “limit 1 per amex card” or “1 per amex online account.” This offer says “Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member” and “Limit of 1 statement credit(s) per Card Member.” This sounds like they won’t give you credit if you manage to enroll multiple amex cards in the same offer.

@mrvietnam It’s been a long time since you’ve needed to have separate accounts to get the offer properly on multiple cards. I separated mine years ago.
-
Up until now you could still load offers to multiple cards even if you didn’t have separate accounts set up, if you had tabs open to the offers on the different cards. That method didn’t work for me today either.
I’ve read elsewhere that people think it’s the new offers that are different, and @mrvietnam’s T&C description supports that.
I might need to set up separate accounts now, if it looks like they will allow it from the offers point of view.

It is now based most probably on SS#. It was fun while it lasted… Time to cancel some of my Am Ex cards that I was just holding onto to get extra offers.
If you have separate accounts, it will look like you have added the deal, but a few minutes later the deal will disappear from your saved offers.
