If your egc was emailed to you, it might not have the instruction set for cashiers like they would on the good egc sites such as vcdelivery. For a regular cashier-manned machine, they would just follow the instructions.

Its been a while since I used a WM SCO but IIRC it asks how you’re paying. Do you ignore that and just scan?

Definitely pricey, but for what it’s worth, I see $2.50 back in Walmart cash (expires 8/16), which might make it a decent deal combined with the ibotta.

Pretty sure you can’t combine Ibotta with Walmart cash.

How would they even know you got WMT Cash for buying it? and unless it specifically restricts it, yes you can get both.

Both ibotta and Walmart Cash specifically restrict combining an ibotta rebate and Walmart Cash rebate. They know because you use the same email and the companies share info between themselves, like Checkout51 and Swagbucks/Tada.

In the linked article on ibotta’s website in the post by mtnagel, they even describe how an ibotta offer will be added to your Walmart account instead of your ibotta balance because you added the same offer in both places. The Walmart account takes priority when you add the offer in both places.

Mister C, there’s no nicer way to say this, but you learned the wrong lesson; you shouldn’t have given them your info in the first place. Plaid access to your checking account, Social Security numbers; address and homeownership information letting random companies the ability to open up HELOC by giving them enough credit information; none of that should have happened in the first place.

Deleting the account on Aven is putting a lot of faith in a company that has shown to act in bad faith, your data probably doesn’t get deleted.

At minimum:

• If you can’t revoke Plaid access to your checking account on your bank’s website, then you’ll have to open up a Plaid account (Plaid Portal) using the information you used to set up your Aven account (if you used a burner phone or secondary email that doesn’t match your bank account, this is going to be more difficult, you may have to setup multiple Plaid accounts) More information on the Doctor of Credit thread.
• SSN you already know you shouldn’t have given out.
• credit should already be frozen, freeze it if it isn’t
• if your local county has a title lock/warning signup, not all counties do, then I suggest signing up.

You can make your own cold brew concentrate with a French Press, cold water, and an adjustable coffee grinder with a coarse setting.

If you really want to make your own barista experience at home: add in some milk to the concentrate, or use a frother for hot milk froth, or if you have heavy cream and a frother you can replicate the cold brew foam at Starbucks/Dunkin’. Torani syrup bottles for flavor. Torani caramel or chocolate sauce for topping.

(the actual cold brew concentrate is easy to make, it’s the rest of the add-ons that take a bit more YouTube expertise and figuring out)
