@mistercheap said in Free Shoprunner membership to be removed from AMEX March 31, 2025:
Actually had to laugh at the post. Shoprunner? didn’t know they still existed or that anyone used them. Had it once like 12 years ago, but they got crappier and crappier with linked merchants and what they provided.
Like posting “AOL Dial-up to be removed from Amex on 3/31/25”
memba when shoprunner used to work with newegg? I memba.

Free Shoprunner membership to be removed from AMEX March 31, 2025posted in Expired Deals
Should be in hot deals because the whole benefit is for those who shop online.
This was in one of my AMEX credit card statements at the bottom in mice print.
One of the perks, although probably not an often used perk, of AMEX cardmembers was the free Shoprunner membership. You get to keep the free Shoprunner membership until your Shoprunner membership year runs out and two years thereafter, it seems.
ShopRunner Card Benefit Removal
Effective March 31, 2025, ShopRunner membership will no longer be a Card benefit. Card Members currently
enrolled through American Express will continue to receive their complimentary ShopRunner membership for the
remainder of their ShopRunner membership year and two years thereafter, subject to ShopRunner’s policies and
terms and conditions. -

Variety Wholesalers thought 200 to 400 store and a few distribution centers were worth something. They will be the new owners and keeping the Big Lots name for those stores. They’re even retaining a lot of those stores’ employees.

Pretty sure the eggs that are $5.99 at Costco aren’t the organic pasture raised eggs. I don’t think they even sell those at our Costcos. I think MrV/CheapCharlie is talking about the 2 dozen Kirkland Signature large cage free eggs.

@ctujackbauer All the stores are closing, so I’m not sure how your store wasn’t slated for closure. At least in my area, the closure sales are handled by the regular employees, no liquidators
I went there Friday at a store that was still open, it was Buena Park, the only remaining open store in Orange County. The closures were leaked to the press, but the stores weren’t officially in liquidation. They’re technically still not in liquidation yet, Big Lots said liquidation sales will start “soon” and “in the coming days” (their wording.)
Interesting. That’s the exact same store I was at on Friday also. I was there about 145 or 2 PM. What time were you there? The two cashiers working when I was there wouldn’t accept any coupons. It was a man and a woman.
Morning, checkout around 10:30 AM

YMMV on using coupons that are sent to you by Big Lots. II had a $5. Off $15 purchase coupon that I wanted to use and they wouldn’t accept it during the closing sale. They said no coupons allowed.
@niniss said in All remaining Big Lots stores closing. Going out of business sales happening now.:
@cheapcharlie9 same here. I couldn’t use any coupons at all. The store told me they don’t care what the corporate email says, period! So I have a $15gc left that I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be wasted cuz there’s practically nothing left on shelves last time I went.
My store accepted coupons because it was still open, it wasn’t slated for closure nor was part of the previous closures. Once a store is taken over by the liquidators, coupons are a no go.

Best deal: Ghirardelli white chocolate chips for very little out of pocket after stacking coupons.
I went there today because it’s the last day and I had a $10 coupon from an email. Bought a party-size peanut butter M&M’s (34 oz.) for the regular price of $12.98 (gadzooks!) minus the $10 coupon = $2.98

In for $15 at Walmart. TYSM
This is the first time this has ever happened. I am getting older and my eyesight isn’t what it used to be. I was typing the address I wanted to send my digital gift card to, but it was off by one letter. On the iPhone keyboard I typed an “r” instead of an “e”. Believe it or not, I even did that on the field where they wanted me to type the e-mail again to verify it. Luckily it looks like the misspelled e-mail was not taken by anyone and when I did a test e-mail it was returned electronically by the postmaster.
I sent a message to Customer Service at TopCashback and explained the situation. We’ll see what comes of it. I’m still waiting to hear back from them a day later. Worst case scenario I’m out $12.50, but I’ve learned a big lesson that the email address is very important to double check and even worthy of me putting on my glasses.
EDIT: I just heard back from TopCashback.com and they said my purchase is tracking with them just fine, as I already knew. The rep sent me a link to contact directly the help desk of the retailer who actually sold me the digital gift card to see what they could do.
Use the autofill feature on iPhone by adding yourself as a contact.

@yoregano I was going to use my mobile app to order the muffin today (to get the bonus pts), but muffins aren’t on my app menu. Muffins are normally on my app menu so I think they intentionally removed it. (Since I was going to DD anyway, I purchased the muffin in-store. I ordered something else to get the bonus pts.)

For anyone else wondering, the Motts and Nature Valley FAR offers expired 8-31-24.
I hope this isn’t a trend towards lower % back. 25% isn’t much. Kellogg’s was $10/$25 and Nestle $20/$40. The previous GM offer % was higher.
Time to start checking the SCO trash can again.
Yea but Kellogg’s and Nestle needed a single transaction. This General Mills offer you can use multiple receipts, which makes it easier to shop low quantity limit sales.
Not only that, there are multiple Fetch and Ibotta offers that easily get you another $6-10 in value on $40 spend. For instance, I have a $2 on 3 GM cereals, that are often on sale for under $2 a box, $1/1 GM Nutrition bars multi pack (4ct+) limit 5. Ongoing FETCH offers for the GM Cereals, etc.
So very easy to pick up close to another $10 on $40 spend netting $20 back. Not to mention, its so easy to find GM products on discarded receipts, so if you luck out and find $10-20 in receipts you get a great head start to the $40. It’s a good deal, and I actually prefer it to paying $40 at once for the $20 Nestle on one receipt.
I’ve had the Progresso soup offer on ibotta come back within less than a week after using it at the store. Same with Fetch, a different Progresso soup offer appeared after I redeemed 2 out of 3 redemptions.
General Mills is pretty much Fetch Rewards coupon partner, although they do spread their bets between ibotta and Fetch sometimes.
