For anyone with the newer myprepaidcenter virtual Mastercards from Swagbucks, seems like there was a bad setup and it was passing the security codes in the clear (on the redemption website.)
Swagbucks temporarily halted those redemptions. More here at this link:

I’m skipping the middle row and going for the X pattern. Ragu sauce at Target is a modest money maker again (pay $4 for two and get 300 SB for 2, 250 SB for X pattern) and though I haven’t checked the prices yet, I would wager that Coca-Cola Dreamworld at CVS would be a more than decent sized money maker (500 SB for 2, 250 SB for X pattern) because those 20 ounce bottles are usually $2.00 or so.I would also wager that the Coca-Cola Dreamworld at CVS offer is going away soon because of the size of the money maker and the fact that it increased its SB back (I think it was 250 SB just a few hours ago.)
Quick update: the Ragu Sauce at Target is now not a money maker (buy 2 for $4, get 100 SB for 2, 250 SB for X pattern) although it is pretty close and given that ibotta and other companies are cracking down on great deals/money makers, this is pretty good comparatively.
I swear I never get search credits to complete the Swago board unless it’s one of those collector’s bills. These things are becoming my new white whale.
I’m even holding off on a Magic Receipts purchase because of this.

Don’t forget to load the AMEX Offer to the card before your purchase. Bonus deal idea: wait for a topcashback cashback offer too.
IIRC, last year’s offer was for 3 purchases, but this is for just 1 purchase.
Expires 12/19/2022.
At Habit Burger Grill 9/16 - 9/20: Buy one Charburger, get one 50% off. You have to redeem on the app, so I’m not sure if it’s required to already be on their email list and app.

YMMV but I got a Mygiftcardsplus offer of 500 extra SB SwagUp with a gift card purchase (no minimum purchase amount either, which is a plus.) I stacked it with the 20% SB back on a $25 Gap brands gift cards.
I’m always a bit curious about their algo, it seems to offer better Swagup deals to infrequent purchasers rather than frequent purchasers.
I never see offers on for bonus SB on MGC+, just the percent CB and the occasional 100 SB for 1st time purchase from any brand… and I’ve only ever bought 1 GC on MGC+.
Strange. I thought they would give out more bonus offers. I think I’ve bought 3 or 4 lifetime.

I think the movie studios aren’t making much money today, but the theaters are making out like bandits. The concessions line was crazy.
If you’re not a frequent moviegoer, Top Gun: Maverick would be my choice if you want a family friendly one, Bullet Train would be fun if you like the R-rated action comedy genre.

Oh wait, scratch that, it looks like you’d have to purchase 4 separate Kellogg’s products (4 different receipts) to qualify for this month.
This is the first month in a while that I will pass on.

Git you a Target e gift card. Very easy to use either printed on paper, or the Target app. With the Target app I don’t even carry my physical gift cards to the store.

Ragu Sauce ($2.19 each, buy 2) at Target is a modest $1 money maker with Magic Receipts/Tada (300 SB) and the X symbol from this week’s Swago (250 SB.)
I’m perfectly fine with these little break-even or modest money maker grocery deals from Swagbucks. I don’t have to go chase down ibotta offers on a bunch of impossible-to-find new items at Walmart (and I live in an area with a Walmart Neighborhood Market that is very well stocked) or ibotta offers on a bunch of new organic products at Sprouts (they all taste terrible.)
Free food has been on the decline even with the advent of coupon apps maturing their business model, but Swagbucks free food offers keep ticking along. It’s quite nice. Plus it seems like there’s a Swago every week.
Delimex Taquitos are close to free at Target when you buy 2 and claim the X symbol in Swago too.
Did you do the last Swago board (the one that was all Discover offers)? So many people complained about it I thought they would put a wheel on this Swago to make up for it.
Thanks for breaking down these deals. Just to clarify, if you do both the Ragu Sauce and the Delimex, you can only count the 250 SB from the Swago X pattern once in calculation you total OOP cost.
Last week’s was the worst Swago, I didn’t do any Discover activities for it. I think I did a 50 SB pattern/symbol/line, but I don’t remember how I qualified for it.
I like the wheel instant win too, but they’ve been pretty rare.

@mistercheap said in Regal Cinemas owner Cineworld preparing for bankruptcy (gift card warning):
@ctujackbauer This is a little different, I don’t think GC’s will be in jeopardy unless say, the theaters in your area were to close and you don’t have the ability to use them. They are looking at Chapter 11 in the US which would likely mean a restructuring. I honestly don’t see locaton closing until 2023 at the earliest, so people should have plenty of time to take in a movie or two and eat popcorn.
The Bed Bath situation where it’s an ‘unknown’ is if they liquidate stores, Gift Cards sometimes aren’t honored in liquidation sales. They should be ok online for the forseeable future even if a number of stores close.
Perhaps. Most of the value in Cineworld is in their locations and leases. At its best, reorganization would mean offloading poor performing locations with an acquirer taking the best locations.
But reorg can go from orderly to disorderly in a hurry. The vast majority of Sears and Kmart locations were sold for scrap or to CEO Eddie Lampert. Chrysler almost didn’t make it out of bankruptcy. Circuit City went from “we’re just offloading some debt” to “poof, sorry we’re closing everything.”
Cineworld is so levered up that nobody is going to make a whole offer for Regal Cinemas, and the debt holders may see more value in selling the land and ground leases than taking an offer for a cut-down version of Regal Cinemas.
Another gift card warning, this time for Regal Cinemas. Regal is the second largest movie theater chain in the USA. As always, the ability to use up gift cards in bankruptcy and reorganization is a future unknown.
Regal Cinemas (owned by international movie theater chain Cineworld) is preparing for a bankruptcy filing within weeks, according to the Wall Street Journal. Regal hired restructuring advisor firm Kirkland & Ellis, the same firm as Bed Bath & Beyond.
Maybe keep this thread for a day or two in hot deals before moving to deal discussion? Not everyone reads that forum.
Bloomberg is currently the only source for this: Bed Bath & Beyond is hiring restructuring advisor firm Kirkland & Ellis because of BB&B’s unmanageable debt load.
So you can take a chance that Bed Bath & Beyond will let you spend your gift cards before bankruptcy (like Toys’R’Us) but there’s always the possibility that it won’t (like Linens N Things many years ago, or Souplantation, or Circuit City)

I’m on streak of 3 last placed teams (IIRC) for the team challenge. It almost makes me want to go back to redeeming for the monthly $25 for 2200 SB gift card on the first of the month like I always used to, but it’s so easy to qualify for the team challenge these days.
I just wish I’d get more than the extra 50 SB for last place. Then again, one occasional first place in a four-team race makes up for that 6 times over.

I highly recommend Pachinko.
I cannot make my own fried chicken sandwich and a frozen cherry/coke for $1. Therefore, I shall purchase this at Burger King. Thanks @MISTERCHEAP
Big SB amounts in the Swago coming up on Monday. I just assume I won’t qualify for the large offers this time, but maybe it’s an anniversary or something.

Also, pro tip: never leave your swago board dependent on a magic receipt on a Friday because it can sometimes be rejected even on a clear receipt picture, and then Swagbucks customer service might not review the receipt over the weekend, leaving you missing a swago completion. Unless it’s Walmart where it shows the UPC.
It may not matter this time around… Swagit (at least for me) has been down for days. I’m sure that will prevent many from completing their Swagit and To-Do List tiles.
Ah, you might need to uninstall/reinstall or re-login. It’s been working for me.
Not going to risk it… it only works on one of my devices now (used to work on 3 of them) and it’s not in the Google app store any more. If they’re nor fully supporting the app anymore, I don’t want to risk re-installation via a 3rd party apk. This happens regularly for me with Swagit. It usually starts working again, eventually, but this is the longest outage I’ve experienced. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
I don’t know about apk, it’s on the google play store though. For your other 2 devices.
