RE: 3 Free Drawstring Bags On Amazon For Joining Cobble Pro Product Review Club
Note: Tuskers correctly noted that this sign up offer makes no mention of being required to write a review. However, because it is clearly from a GPT program, I decided to leave it in the GPT forum, and I also want to get folks familiarized with this new forum (understanding what it is, posting there, and looking for offers there).
It’s a moot point since you can’t actually get the freebie anymore, and I moved this to expired CSG deals, but I wanted Tusker’s point to be noted.

I removed the pi and everything to the right of it. I’m taken to the landing page, but still don’t qualify: https://www.amazon.com/gp/adlp/citi1click?tag=phtwllt-20
They’ve offered this several times now and I only qualified once (the first offer I think), no matter what I try. I even have a Citi card on my account and 1-click disabled everywhere. No go on mobile either.

@fivetalents Thanks. I updated this table many (100+) times back on FW.
Then bless your heart 'cause it ain’t fun. That explains, however, why you were able to provide all of the data that I asked for so quickly and completely (I was impressed).
When you have a chance, could you please post an update of all of the acronyms used in the OP so that I can edit that too? Several of the terms are not defined anywhere and it would help many of us to be certain that we are interpreting things correctly. TIA.

RE: 3 Free Drawstring Bags On Amazon For Joining Cobble Pro Product Review Club
@Tuskers Companies who’s sole or significant purpose is providing free products and/or rewards in exchange for reviews are GPTs (Get Paid To).
I’m moving this thread to the GPT forum (which is under the Contests, Sweeps, and GPT umbrella forum for deals where you get stuff for doing other stuff… not strictly freebies).
Viewpoints is an example of another GPT company. Like Cobble Pro, they have a long running program for giving free items in exchange for writing a review. And Viewpoints very much expects you to write reviews and post them on retailer’s websites to continue receiving free products. They even follow up with you repeatedly if you don’t. They are not just giving away stuff for free with no strings attached.

New $5 Account Credit on Purchase of $25+ for Installing Amazon Assistant Browser Extension
It’s back again… this is the 3rd or 4th time Amazon has offered this:
For a limited time, select Amazon accounts qualify for $5 off purchases of $25 or more on items sold by Amazon for installing the Amazon Assistant browser extension.
People who’s account say they do not qualify report getting the discount anyway after following all of the steps below, and people who have done this before are reporting getting it again.
Do the following:
- Install the Amazon Assistant in your internet browser (Google Chrome and FireFox confirmed working). Alternate link.
- Click on the Amazon Assistant icon on top right hand side of your toolbar.
- Complete the entire tutorial: the $5 off offer should now appear in the extension. The message should read “Thank you for installing Amazon Assistant. The $5 credit has been applied to your account and expires on December 31, 2017.”
- Click “redeem” to activate the offer.
- To apply the credit, search for items sold by Amazon that cost $25 or more through the Assistant search bar (not your browser). It may be easier to search for products in your browser first, then paste the ASIN/Amazon product ID into the Assistant search bar (I tested using this one: B01M0QR22B).
- The Assistant will show your results in a new browser tab. You must add the item to your cart and check out in this tab to receive the credit. Your $5 off discount should automatically be applied at checkout (appears as "Amazon Assistant: -$5.00 " on checkout screen).
ETA: the credit also works on select third-party gift cards sold by Amazon. It worked when I tested this on both an electronic GC (e.g., Netflix eGC: B00YD563L8) and a plastic GC (e.g., Petco phycical GC: B00BXLVFAO). Be sure to add the GC to your cart to confirm the credit will apply (do not click “Buy Now”). It also works on multiple qualifying items in the same order and/or Subscribe & Save orders.
Thanks cocolocomoco

@dstall63 said in Please consider adding the "Post Quick Reply" box to the top of the pages:
@dangeRuss I remember why I stopped using the “Reply” button on top when I was writing an unrelated item … it was because when I hit “Reply” the box automatically populated with text. If I hit “discard” then hit “Reply” again the box does not get populated with text. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?.
If you have text selected with your mouse and hit reply, it automatically quotes it for you.
Also, if you already have the text editor box open in another tab (e.g., to create a new thread, quote, or reply) and then open the text editor in a second tab, the box in the second tab will auto-populate with the contents of the the text editor in first tab.

YW. Yes, that would be too specific for tags but would work perfectly for email alerts.

@fivetalents Is there a way to do a topic alert for a brand name? Can you explain how the Tags are organized? Not alphabetical. Not sure what the numbers 1, 2, 3 are. Tried to understand how to find a tag if my search didn’t work. I was trying an alert for Yankee Candle.
-
There is currently no topic alert system (for either on screen or via email), however, this issue does have a support request thread if you’d like to add your thoughts there: https://phatwalletforums.com/topic/743/topic-alerts
-
Tags are sorted by the most frequently used tag at that moment, with the most tagged key words being at the top. For example, “FOOD” is currently at the top of the tags home page because 129 threads have been posted about food… more than any other key word at this time: https://phatwalletforums.com/tags. Note that when you are on the tags home page, to save time you can just use control + F to search for key words instead of using the actual search box.
-
FWIW, there is currently a thread for Yankee Candles: https://phatwalletforums.com/topic/1867/50-off-all-candles-car-and-home-fragrance-ac-yankee-candle-exp-11-05-2017/2. I’ll create a tag for it now because they are the actual merchant (only the merchant and product category are tagged BTW). Tags are assigned manually by the OP and/or moderator, so every thread may not be tagged exactly the same way. Also, tags are only assigned for major categories so specific terms like diapers will not be tagged (e.g., only “baby” would be tagged).
