Yeah I figure if the sizing is off or something you could always toss 'em on OfferUp or something and I’m sure you’d get your $5 back easy. I wouldn’t even try to return 'em with that track record.

@dionaea I used the Epic launcher to play Subnautica when it was also offered for free (terrific game btw). The Epic launcher seems much more streamlined that Steam or Origin, quick to launch and navigate. I really enjoyed its simplicity, and only ran it when I wanted to play the game (I do think I had to change the option for it to remain off unless I launched a game that needed it, it launched on Startup by default I believe). No issues so far.

RE: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM) $148 + FS/Prime @ Amazon.com (& Newegg.com)posted in Hot Deals
@fivetalents The SSD is mostly just to run my OS, so it doesn’t need to be huge. The games and programs I have, however, are stored on a little 500 GB HDD that is always close to being full, so a 1TB is very tempting for the upgrade… but hard to justify for now

Mmm, at this price it’s tempting to grab just for a backup or extra storage. Would snag one in a heartbeat if I had the extra dough… Oh, and go figure, the 2TB version is only twice the price and very near its lowest price ever of $295.
Currently running a 240GB Samsung SSD in this very computer and it’s been plugging along for almost 7 years now without a single issue, always booting in a matter of seconds. When it’s time to upgrade or replace my machine I’ll be utilizing another Samsung SSD for certain.

RE: 1-4 FREE Lindt Lindor Chocolate At Target w/Couponposted in Expired Deals
@somanycats I actually tried that from my computer once I saw the option, and it required me to download a separate computer app, which then asked for my phone number before allowing me to do anything. Absolutely bonkers. I’ll take a look again though, since if you can do it then there’s no reason I shouldn’t be able to. Thanks!

Wouldn’t trust it for an EDC, but for a buck it’d be great for a tool box or ten.
Picked up the last one at my nearest Walmart. Pleasantly surprised by the build quality, it seems evident to me that they attempted to copy Kershaw’s style which isn’t a bad idea. Knife was sharp enough out of the package to shave the hair on the back of my hand, and it seems sturdy. Certainly worth the dollar price tag.

RE: 1-4 FREE Lindt Lindor Chocolate At Target w/Couponposted in Expired Deals
I’m probably barking up the wrong tree, but I hate that this site forces you to provide your personal information (phone number) before allowing you to print anything, and I’ve found no way to circumvent it. I’m leery since I already get 10+ spam calls a week on my mobile and I’d really rather not salt that particular wound. Even gone so far as to make an alternate phone number with Google Voice and they still won’t bite. Any other way to print these things?

RE: Free Limited Time Download – WinX DVD Ripper Platinum V8.9.0 ($67.95 Value) & WinX DVD Copy Pro 3.9.1 also free today.posted in Expired Deals
I grabbed WinX DVD Ripper Platinum the last time it was posted here for free, and I’ve had excellent success using it to copy some of my DVDs to my Kindle and Android phone, as well as the wife’s iPad. Great to have that capability when you want to entertain the kids without an Internet connection. The user interface isn’t the post user-friendly I’ve seen, but it’s fairly straight-forward after a bit of practice.

@my4mainecoons said in WD-40 8-oz Lubricant Gift Pack $2.49 in-store @ Lowe's:
@ultrahugewallet How big are the individual cans? Are they the very small ones, about 4" high?
According to my ruler they are just shy of 5 inches tall including the cap, and ~1.75 inches in diameter. 8.0 OZ. total weight. I kind of wish i’d bought a few more at this price but realistically I don’t use that much, so this is perfect for me and my tool boxes.

I recall someone asking for home tool kit recommendations a while back. If anyone has family or friends with upcoming birthdays or something and they might need an all-around tool set, I can’t imagine one better than this at this price. I have most of these tools already, but at this price I’m still tempted to pull the trigger just to have something portable and flexible. Would make a great new grad or home-owners gift!

According to a few articles I eyeballed when I saw this post, this is considered a scam and one of the worst free-samples sites available. Pinch Me and Sample Source were listed as better alternatives, but I decided I already get enough spam mail from elsewhere and didn’t sign up. My guess is that those two are just as bad.

Xbox Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X
Mobile Windows Phone 8, Windows Phone 8.1, Windows 10 or laterI have none of these things… so I guess I can’t watch any of them. Guess my Win 7 PC just can’t handle streaming anime, lol.

RE: Assassins Creed: Odyssey FREE on PC for Project Stream Beta Usersposted in Expired Deals
Figured I’d weigh in on this, since I’ve been playing the game this way for a few months. It has been an awesome experience.
I’ve had no lag, encountered very few bugs and those were mostly cosmetic issues that made me laugh out loud. The map for this game is absolutely obnoxiously large in the best possible way. I’ve got almost 200 hours in my game and still haven’t explored all the areas of interest, though it’s not necessary to do so for the sake of the story. Since I don’t have a modern day game console but do have a fairly solid PC, this was the closest I’ve been to a PS4-type experience. Definitely will be keeping an eye on this Stream-style gaming method in the future.

RE: Stanley 69-Piece Black Chrome and Laser Etched Socket Set with Bonus FATMAX 6 ft. x 1/2 in. Keychain Pocket Tape Measure $29 @ Home Depotposted in Expired Deals
@gremln007 In my opinion, this wouldn’t be a very practical general purpose set. I had something similar to this (link) that was amazing for me going through college and when I moved into my own house. Even used it to build the arch for my wedding. While this is a very nice socket set, sockets are rarely needed for your average Joe homeowner. Some channel locks can get the same job done, usually. I’ve also had a really good experience with a Black & Decker set like this (link). Just my two cents, hope it helps

SteelSeries Stratus XL, Bluetooth Wireless Gaming Controller for Windows + Android, $28.95 @ Amazonposted in Expired Deals
Lowest Price ever according to CCC. Been keeping an eye on one for a while and decided to finally pull the trigger on it (pun intended), despite somewhat mixed reviews (which frequently seem to be user error). Most people complained about issues with Win 10, but I plan on using it for Android only. Grabbed the extra 4-year protection plan for an extra ~$1.50 for peace of mind. From what little research I’ve done, this is considered one of the best-quality and most reliable Bluetooth Android controllers.

RE: Install Amazon Assistant Browser Extension & Get $5 Off $25+ for Prime Members (Select Amazon Accounts)posted in Expired Deals
Hmm, I went through those steps and all it said to me was “amazon assistant - Your Installation is Complete”. No $5 off offer anywhere I could find, and I was already signed into Amazon and therefore signed into the extension. I may hit up their customer service when I get a chance and find out what the deal is.
(Edit) I contacted their chat support and the rep said “I see that it was not issued, in this case I am manually issuing the promo”. So he tossed me the $5 manually, and it only took about 3 minutes. Easy money, thanks!

@mrvietnam That was when I finally decided to nab one, and I’ve used it plenty of times since. In fact, I made some BBQ ribs last weekend and the meat fell right off the bones. Only 30 min cook time and didn’t have to heat the house by using the oven. Heckuva machine.

RE: WG518 WORX 12Amp 3-in-1 Blower/Vacuum/Mulcher (Metal Impeller) @ebayposted in Expired Deals
I have this model and it works great for my yard, where I only have to worry about smallish maple and ash tree leaves (only two on the property). If you have larger leaves (think bigger than your palm) or lots of twigs I would skip this as a mulcher, because you will CONSTANTLY be clogging up the intake and having to fish out the blockages. The attached bag is also tiny, so while it does an excellent job of mulching you will be emptying it literally every 30 seconds or so if you’re attacking a pile of leaves. As I said, works for me, but will definitely not be a fit for every yard.

RE: Dash Rapid Egg Cooker, Black $16.99 @Amazonposted in Expired Deals
@dangeruss
I got one of these bad boys for $5 during a Kohl’s Black Friday thing. Worth every penny at this price as well as far as I’m concerned. It boils eggs much more quickly and efficiently than other methods, takes all the guess work out of it. Only complaint would be that you have to really stay on top of cleaning the heating plate. You can wait for a cheaper price if uncertain, but I would stand by the quality of this thing. -
RE: Upcoming Offer: LEGO 60th Anniversary Exclusive Bundle: LEGO Classic Creative Building Set 10702 & Sand Baseplate $5.65 in-store on Feb 3rd, 7th and 11th @ Walmartposted in Expired Deals
Yeesh. In case anyone else is having problems buying this bundle, the chat support isn’t any help. They are throwing me canned responses in broken English saying to use the In-Stock alerts on the website and to try again later. Citing website problems but as a former chat support tech myself, it sounds like they’re making crap up to get you off their chat (which is blowing up at the time of this writing, long wait times).
Curiously, the second person I spoke to said to check on the 6th and NOT the 7th, and was adamant about it. Seems odd, but good luck!
